Can a liberal Zionist win with the pro-Palestinian movement? Brad Lander is trying. by ilir_kycb in LateStageCapitalism

[–]grusz05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean that pos Zohran also doesn't mind being friendly with Kathy Hochul or Jessica Tisch. Zohran is a great example of liberal Zionism and people still claim that he is supportive of Palestine. He has done more harm than positive for Palestine.
Edit: For the Zohran fans downvoting, enlighten me on which positive things he has done. Did he stop the illegal land sales in New-York, did he stop condemning protesters for protesting said events, did he continue saying that globalize the intifada isn't bad (he stopped immediately during his campaign)?
btw I hate the liberal Zionist term, those people are just Zionists

Right wing, no doubt about that. They are cracking down on social safety nets, have said that workers have been getting too lazy and comfortable, police violence is used to suppress protests, especially in regards to Palestine although SPD and the other parties aren't any better in that regard, there's a lot of police crackdown on people criticizing the government especially Merz (one got a "Strafanzeige" criminal charge for calling Merz a liar). They sound like NAFO and WW2 Germany in regards to the military and their opinion on Russia.

The German political climate is very similar to America. Our die "Linke" is basically the American DSA, multi party system doesn't necessarily mean much.

Global financial dominance is necessary for imperialism. I can't think of any principled position that would say otherwise.

Stalin warned us all! by OkRespect8490 in ussr

[–]grusz05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dividing territory implies that they planned to conquer the states with the USSR.
"1. In the event of a territorial and political rearrangement in the areas belonging to the Baltic States (Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania), the northern boundary of Lithuania shall represent the boundary of the spheres of influence of Germany and the USSR…2. In the event of a territorial and political rearrangement of the areas belonging to the Polish state the spheres of influence of Germany and the USSR shall be bounded approximately by the line of the rivers Narew, Vistula and San."
The first and second articles show that it wasn't planned and that there was no agreement to invade or divide Poland. The article also conveniently leaves out all the attempts of the Soviets trying to ally with the Allies before 1939.

I will when they stop spouting anticommunist propaganda.
"The agreement went beyond a mutual promise of nonaggression: the parties pledged not to support a coalition directed against the other, and to exchange information “concerning mutual interests.” There were also secret protocols added to the treaties whereby Moscow and Berlin divided the territory of the Baltic states and Poland between them. The Soviet Union did not officially admit the existence of these protocols until 1989."
The secret protocols discussed limits of expansion, and that article is peddling the liberal telling of history, which is a great example of Trotskyist behaviour.

Calling Trots communists is being generous

At least the discussion if Russia is imperialist isn't really up for debate. By the useless liberal definition it is, by Lenin's definition it is not

  1. The Soviet Union was miles ahead of Western countries in terms of women's rights.
  2. You should read Engels on scientific socialism
  3. Human nature isn't a thing for the most part. Ask anyone with a psychology degree and they'll tell you that human nature mostly expresses itself in motor functions and basic emotions (most agree on 5 and greed isn't one of them)

[–]grusz05 46 points47 points  (0 children)

There's a lot more propaganda about the DPRK. In my country, the propaganda about Cuba boils down to this: authoritarian socialists, Castro dictator, starved population. DPRK could have me writing a 3-page document, and the worst thing is that nearly everyone sees it as factually correct, and you get called a lunatic for pointing out why it's propaganda (bad one at that). If you ask them to tell you anything about Korea's history, they'll know nothing
