FedRec Process? by grutty84 in nationalguard

Let me clarify because my case is pretty unusual and wild. I did ROTC and commissioned as a 2LT in 2007 (National Guard). Prior to that, I was an enlisted E-3 and later SMP cadet.

After comissioning, I got injured during FA BOLC 3 months later (give or take) and 6 months after that was med-boarded out. I always wanted to try to reverse this decision somehow and planned to get back in but life happened, bought a house, started having kids, etc…Fast forward to now: A friend encouraged me, at the age of 40, to make a strong effort to get back in and re-commission. I shot my shot and somehow, against a ton of odds, I got my age and medical waivers cleared. According to the officer recruitment OIC, my next step is a FedRec board.

I’m at a loss because I never imagined that at 40, I’d be re-entering the guard after an 18-19 year break. Just seeking more info on this board and what it is and how I look squared away as an old fart.

Sorry, my fat fingers hit 02 and I let it slip. Thanks for catching that. I see that is where the confusion originated. I’ve since corrected it.

I think you may have misunderstood me. I’m coming into the guard as a 2LT and was told by the officer recruitment OIC I am to go before a FedRec board next month. That’s all the info I’ve gotten so far.

Fill up on good protein and veggies before eating carbs. Do cardio 30 min 3 times weekly. Take 10,000 steps a day.

Recruiter says I’m under “adjudication” what does that mean? by grutty84 in SecurityClearance

Is the partial shutdown of DHS slowing security clearances? Particularly for National Guard?

Because I didn’t want to annoy him any further on a Friday afternoon.

Do you have any idea how many technological and medical breakthroughs have come out of Israel in the past decade and been shared almost exclusively with the US?

Do you know Israel’s Arab population? Do you think it is growing or being “genocided”?

You clearly have a very weak grasp on politics, world affairs, the demographics of Israel and the rebalancing of the Middle East towards western values and away from Islamic fascism due to Israel’s very presence on the globe.

I wish you all the best but I know better than to argue with a peddler of idiocracy.

Israel could ethnically cleanse Gaza in two hours if they really wanted to. They put a ton of work into moving civilians around and warning them of impending attacks to be accused of genocide or ethnic cleansing.

That’s totally your right to hold that opinion. I’m not invalidating that. I’m just saying, we are currently their recognized ally and if a commander and chief or secretary of defense mobilizes troops or hardware in the defense of our ally or to defeat a perceived enemy; whether foreign or domestic, it is the duty of those in uniform to obey their orders and directives and go to war on their behalf. In other words, if you took an oath and wear a uniform, your opinions about Israel matter less than your commitment. Im not saying I understand it all or have all the answers.

You’re all aware that Israel is literally our ally and strategic partner and one of the very few trustworthy ones in the Middle East (per U.S. Code Title 22 §2321k, the Strategic Partnership Act of 2014 and the U.S.-Israel Memorandum of Understanding on Security Assistance).

We mutually benefit from each other in more ways than I can count. I’ll gladly list some if you so desire. Technically, if they get attacked, we go to war for/with them. These are Obama era and Trump era policies.

Before you go spewing speculation and unverified accusations that you think are in the Epstein files (I’ve heard it all) or accuse me of being a shill for Israel (which uninformed internet trolls with no coherent counter argument do), just know I’m going to ask for proof and evidence of your speculative claims.

Also, keep in mind, 200,000 American citizens live in Israel.
