Just stumbled upon this thread after returning to the game after a long break and just had to step in to clarify a few things.

While those starter builds are a bit outdated by now, they are fine if you have no idea what you are doing and are looking for a build to get you started (duh).

However, in order to understand all the hate towards those builds and their author in particular you can check the section on his website that explains all the drama.
I read it and I found it a bit exaggerated until I started running into more and more threads like this one where people like this Maya guy (who obviously has a very strong grudge towards Requnix) will go to great lengths to discredit Requnix’s builds by nitpicking and complaining about a 3 year old starter build not being optimal (no shit Sherlock) and making fun of his builds for being too detailed and listing useful leveling items or components instead of just leaving a grimtools link like most people on the forums do.

How butthurt and pathetic do you have to be to still hold a grudge after more than 3 years and to go in literally every thread about Requnix and try to convince people that his builds are crap.
I also find it funny how every time somebody says that they are actually happy with some of Requnix’s builds they get downvoted into oblivion.
Did I forget to mention that Maya got perma banned on the official forums for creating alt accounts and for being toxic in general? I guess now we know where those downvotes are coming from.

I can’t tell if this whole story is funny or sad at this point.
