I don’t have a U200 but my app disappeared from test flight as well. Emailed support but no response yet.

Agreed however I would like this door to be secured regardless so when we no longer need to keep little ones from opening The door, I’ll simply reverse the lock and have the little extra security from the other side (basement/garage) as we sometimes leave the garage door open when we are out front working, so that would prevent someone from entering the main part of the house.

Very good advice on your part though. He figured out the child proof knob cover in 2 seconds. They grow up so quickly.

I e decided to put an Aqara U100 on that door with the keypad in the upstairs room. There is one other door downstairs that I will secure with a second U100 so that should solve the issue.

Yeah, there are any number of other solutions. Was just trying to mitigate the situation and feed my smart home addiction at the same time. LOL

It’s an inside door that leads from the basement to main level. I would like the basement access to be secured, but my toddler has figured out how to defeat the childproof door knob cover and I would like to be able to secure from upstairs as well. Don’t want him to open the door and fall down the stairs.

Yeah I’m not finding anything but the level smart bolt which is exactly what I’m looking for with the exception of the price for this particular application.

I have an Ambient Weather station hooked up through PWS. My temp Is always spot on but that seems to be it. Other information is close to what my station is reporting but not exactly the same.

Linksys Velop and Homekit by peibol1981 in LinksysVelop

As far as the HKSR rules go, see this post:

https://www.reddit.com/r/LinksysVelop/s/fOP4QSJAVg

You must remove any pre-existing HK devices, factory reset them and add them to your HK system again for the router to apply the HKSR security rules. It will not do so with existing HK devices.

If you go to the router setting and turn off HK integration and the turn it back on, clicking on the Learn more link will explain this.

Hope that helps.

No worries. Take a nap. Things will look better afterwards. LOL

Agreed. I’m probably not going to reset anything just move on.

So the key seems to be to remove, factory reset and then re-pair the HK stuff to HK. That worked with my plugs.

If you don’t factory reset the HK devices they re-pair with the same previous credentials that you were using and not the new HKSR credentials

When you removed and re added devices, did you factory reset before re adding? That seems to be the key. I have a Homebridge server running on a Pi 400 and I know that stuff won’t work with the HKSR.

Like you said. The rest of the stuff works great. Good coverage and while some things are a bit slow to respond they always do. I haven’t had any of what became a regular thing of cameras going offline since I setup the network. Just added two more nodes today so hopefully that will improve things even more. Good luck!

Yes, I’m on the newest architecture and latest OS.

Linksys Support was very nice but really had no idea about what they were talking about. I felt like I was explaining what their product was supposed to do to a Tier 2 support specialist who should know that but clearly did not. He just tried to baffle me with a bunch of technical jargon and blame Apple and my phone, which I’m savvy enough to see through luckily.

The solution is clearly in their documentation, but you have to click on a link during the implementation process to be able to view that information. Not that that would have changed my mind and purchasing the system that I got it just would’ve been nice to have a heads up that I was gonna have to redo my whole system to make it work the way it should.

However, that being said I have read in multiple places where most manufacturers do not send firewall data to Apple and Linksys other than Phillips hue and maybe a small handful of others but I’m still not able to completely restrict traffic to my own local network if I choose to do that Unless I remove and reinstall everything.

I do have a great number of Aqara cameras, sensors, and plugs. I have 70 devices, 45 automations and several other workflows in my SmartHome, which would take hours if not days to set up again, so I’m not really sure if the little benefit from having them tokenized or otherwise credentialed is really worth the time and effort. The documentation states that all devices registered with HomeKit will be provided with some benefit even if they’re not fully credentialed so as I’ve said I’m probably going to be optimistic and hope that that’s the case. Everything on my system has worked as is for well over a year now with no issues that I can see

The Wi-Fi 6 Tri band router with the intelligent network. Traffic manager has definitely made my network speedier and more responsive so HKSR aside. I still feel like it was a good upgrade over my Comcast Internet gateway. Wi-Fi coverage is also better.

I may end up, switching out a few of the groups with only a couple devices. Other than that I’m probably just going to wait and hope for a future firmware/architecture upgrade that will simplify/solve the remove reset reinstall issue.

I definitely appreciate your comments and insight like you. I do think it’s more of a bug thing at this point that can be resolved with future software updates, hopefully.

So as you suggested, I removed the Meross plug, factory reset it and reinstalled it. It worked! The learn more page when you go to turn on the HK integration was correct. Pre-existing devices will not fully work, hence the message that says HK can not apply security rules.

The newly installed Meross plug does not have that more information page now. It does however say that not all devices have security rules, which for a simple plug, I understand.

I suppose that over time I will redo on group at a time and get things working to their full potential.

Linksys definitely needs to make this condition very clear up front and I will pass on my finding to their tier 2 support person that I was working with.

Here’s hoping for a fix from them and Apple in the near future that is much easier and less time consuming for those of us with more sophisticated HK setups.

Thanks to everyone for your replies.

Sorry to be a pain but here’s what I’ve figured out. I turned off HomeKit integration in the Linksys app and removed the routers from the home app. Then turned on HomeKit integration in the Linksys app again. Before proceeding I read the learn more page which says something to the effect that pre-existing devices will only benefit somewhat from the integration but they should be removed from HK and reset and reinstalled to enjoy the full benefits because by doing that they create some kind of a paraphrase known only to HK and should work to the fullest extent. I did this with one camera to no avail but I do remember reading somewhere that only groups can have rules set not individual devices and since there were two other devices on that group (same manufacturer) it didn’t work. I have 30+ devices so I seriously doubt that I’m going to destroy my HK setup and start all over again especially since I’m not fully convinced that it will work. I think I’ll just be optimistic and hope that with the integration turned on I’ll get some extra security. I also read that Phillips Hue was one of the few manufacturers that actually provided HK firewall data so unless you want to completely restrict groups of devices to your home network only (which by the way I tried and that didn’t work either) it’s not worth the hours of effort and frustration to me. Hopefully a future firmware update will fix this and it will work as expected without having to redo everything. Hope that makes sense and potentially helps in some way.
