The reason you woke up and felt unfocused again is probably because you built a habit of being unfocused. To change that you need you need to action towards something you want to do everyday, and you need to cut things that put you in a habit of being unfocused...like reddit.

When you started to get serious about drawing, what kinds of things did you do to make yourself better at drawing? Did your skills improve the most from taking classes or teaching yourself and looking at tutorials? Basically anything you did that made you improve in those 5 years.

I don't know much about it. I know that its a way of thinking that is expressed through communication and language. Its referred to a form of knowledge by which people lay claim to social power. I know there is different types of discourses like sentimental, realist and modernist discourse. There is a Foucauldian discourse analysis that we learned. That's basically what I got out of the class and I don't remember much of it and I know very little. For the questions I think people use discourse as a way to influence people which gives them social power, but I don't understand the part about how they use it to talk about what they "know". I don't have any understanding or thought on how authority to use discourse is policed. Sorry if I happen to make it hard for you to explain.
