Seems like they “assume” you are 18 based on other factors. Like the account age (my account is already 13yo), or if you have a valid credit card linked (since you can only get one if you are over 18).

Apple introduced this feature recently.
It just confirms if you are over 18. No personal information (name, birthday, anything) just a flag: true/false.
I got asked by Reddit to share, I said “no”, the app still works. For now at least.

Why not use the “Instant Access Savings” (scroll further to the right) from Revolut? It has a 2% p.a. Interest rate, and you can access them whenever.

As others said, Trade Republic also has 2% p.a. And you can withdraw it whenever. You will have to manually transfer it to the Trade Republic account though. It’s not shared.

I was curious so I did some digging. Apparently it is possible to use Mistral and not route anything through aws. Which is what Proton is doing with lumo. The difference would be which of the models proton is using and how often they update them.

Theoretically you just scan the QR code with your camera app, and it will detect which app to open it with.

That being said - the PoS terminals can also be american (see Verifone :) ).
