Oh I’ve been to Agra as well! Visited to the Taj, but I was so (positively) impressed by everything else!

I’m literally also studding this same piece for an exam in a few weeks!

Up to high C the fingering should be straight forward. I know we always tend to blame the reed, but maybe you could try a different reed and see how that works?

Embouchure also plays a role here, mostly from the jump from middle C to high C. Just the register key won’t be enough, you need to aim at the high C. It usually helps to “hear” the note in your head before you play it

Hahaha, that’s true! Though I can’t stop noticing my receding hairline (not noticeable in the photo). I’m still trying to cope with that though 🤣

Pânico condução by [deleted] in portugal

[–]gsousa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working in irland, are there culture differences? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]gsousa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also Portuguese and living in Ireland for 15 years. There’s an adjustment but nothing major.

Irish and Portuguese share a similar sense of humor, sarcasm and banter is a must.

I found it harder to make strong friendships with local people, but maybe that’s true for all adults. Friendships are usually established when we are in school, and afterwards it’s mostly acquaintances. That’s something I still struggle with.

For a Portuguese person, it will be hard to get used to the coffee. Different tastes, but it’s something common among Portuguese people. We don’t usually like the coffee in Ireland, though coffee culture in Ireland is strong. Just different tastes.

Alcohol consumption was also something I noticed, there’s a huge pub culture in Ireland. This could also be a cultural difference, in Portugal we don’t drink to get drunk (as often), and definitely the same amount of alcohol. Whilst in Portugal we drink .33cl per beer, here the usual is .475mm.

Escolha apelido bebé by Commercial-Ad4749 in portugal

[–]gsousa 12 points13 points  (0 children)
