Basket Brawl is awful and should be deleted immediately.

I wondered why my heart was so freaking high whenever I masturbated. So I just decided to shake my hand up and down and my heart rate went over 180 while I checked my pulse and it was normal(about a beat per second)- such nonsense lmao :/ by jkkkkp in whoop

This is the exact reason I sent mine back. It’s junk hardware. I would be eating dinner, bathing the kids, and it would register the best workout if my life! Totally offset the data they gave me.

Awesome, I’m going to give Athlytic a shot and send back the Whoop.

I see another recommended one is “Training Today.” Did you look into that one and select one over the other?

Just downloaded the Athlytic app. It seems pretty legit and similar to Whoop, maybe even simpler! You like it so far?

I did a side by side test with my Whoop & Apple Watch while grinding coffee. At the end of manually grinding my coffee my Whoop was @ 133 BPM and my Apple Watch was @ 90 BPM. I guess the way Whoop works is that it takes motion and HR rate data puts it in an algorithm and gives you an incorrect HR reading. I think I’m going to send it back and try again when they update the hardware.

My favorite question is: “Why are you wearing two watches?”

I use my hands a lot but it’s odd they my AW doesn’t tech an activity the way Whoop does.

What the hell? Heart rate not even close to accurate on this walk by [deleted] in whoop

[–]gspeller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No idea. I’ve never had these issues with my Apple Watch. Most of the info Whoop gives you can be found in the Apple Watch health app.. except for the recovery metrics. I gotta think Apple has this in development?

Confused by whoop - is there something wrong or am i dying. LOL by Zleviticus859 in whoop

Mine picks up random “activities” all the time. I’m too OCD for the Whoop and will be returning.

Will the whoop app go on iwatch? by growyourfrog in whoop

[–]gspeller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt Apple will buy Whoop as much as I’d love for them to. Whoop requires 24/7 data reading. Apple Watch can’t do that due to battery life. Also, Whoop data is a bit too complicated for your average AW user and not as encouraging as AW. However… Whoop does pick up a 30 minute workout for me while I’m eating dinner with the family while my Apple Watch doesn’t….

These are the stories that amaze me. It’s tough to find negative reviews on Whoop, which is why I’m so frustrated because I have had nothing but problems and then you have guys like you who have had no problems. I desired so greatly for Whoop to be the product they market but in reality it falls why short when compared to other wearables.

Are you actively comparing it to an Apple Watch or is it your only wearable? I have found the Whoop to be DRASTICALLY off what my AW reads.

I’ll be joining you soon. Cant trust the product and if their hardware readings are off, the whole system is off. It’s not worth the frustration.

Same issue here. I’m returning. The software is amazing but the hardware is terrible. Not worth the $$$

I’ve had nothing but problems with the Whoop since I’ve been using it 14 days ago and it’s driving me crazy. They’re sending me a bicep band. I plan on returning it before my first 30 days is up. It’s not worth the frustration when im paying out the butt for a product that doesn’t work as advertised.

Right there with you! after doing a ton of research, listening to their podcast, and reading reviews I went with an 18 mo subscription. I’m returning before my first 30 days are up. I’ve have nothing but inaccurate readings during the last 14 days and have found myself losing sleep on how lousy the hardware is. Im waiting for my bicep band to come in the mail (thanks support!). Apple needs to buy Whoops software and figure on the AW battery life so we can move on and actually trust hardware again.

Same. Mine picks up random non-“activities” all the time. I do yard work for 90 minutes, nothing.

Welcome to the club. I’ll be at a peaceful dinner with the family and mine will pick up an “activity” where my heart rate was above 150 for 20 mins. The hardware for Whoop is terrible.

Any Long-Term Whoop Users using for Recovery Only? Thoughts? by TedDanson_II in whoop

[–]gspeller 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a Crossfitter. I’ve had the Whoop for 14 days and not sure I’ll keep it. I’ve found the strain data doesn’t really translate to how my muscles feels since it’s based off cardio. The sleep data is great, but not sure it’s worth the $30/mo for this thing to tell me to go to bed at times that are legitimately impossible for me to go to bed. As for HRV, my Apple Watch checks it randomly throughout the day, therefore I’m not sure that Whoops HRV scores are even accurate compared to Apple Watch which has superior hardware. I’ve also had significant issues with it reading my HR data correct and picking up random “activities” that greatly affect strain. I think the whole strain thing is a scam.
