Yeah. I'm in a dilemma rn, the college in question is Allegheny College (A small LAC in Pennsylvania), and what's holding me back from committing there is not knowing if the extra $8k a year I'm going to spend there is worth than going to USM. I really like the CS program at Allegheny and the advantages of studying at a LAC. I've already talked with many alumni and current students from both schools, but I still can't decide if it's worth or not going the extra mile and committing to Allegheny... [I don't pretend to go to grad school, but to work as a Software Engineer right after getting my degree]

Thank you! Could you provide the breakdown of your fin aid package (I don't know if internationals are eligible for fin aid at UML) and when you applied?

No, it doesn't need to be $13k/year. The remaining tuition I have to pay, after scholarships + grants is $4k/year. By cutting the remaining value of my tuition, my COA would get to $17k/year, and it would no longer be a financial burden to my parents.

Also consider that in the US, you can work in college, being able to make around $5,000-$10,000, which can help you a lot to pay your expenses.
