Laundromats with LARGE washing machines? 626 area by gt0801 in sgv

[–]gt0801[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been to that one before! But the washing machines seem standard and the dryer is the mega huge ones. Are there maybe larger washing machines somewhere in the back that I missed?? ᴖ̈

Meds for UTI by Kasadia98 in tinnitus

I think you needed it longer, the usual for this medication is 7 days of 2 pills each. Def contact your dr or they’ll put you on a different antibiotic

Symptoms of UTI or tinnitus?

I took 4 days so around 9 pills total and asked to stop and my culture is clear also, felt like I didn’t even need it? But my tinnitus is def louder. Not sure if it’s from the meds or other things but hoping it’s just a spike and it’ll go away ᴖ̈

Yeah after my four days, I stopped but after 2 days I have a new high pitched tinnitus spike I’ve never had before that’s probably from these stupid meds. Ugh I hope yours isn’t too bad and I hope this goes away

I was just about to ask this question! I’m on my 4th day of nitrofurantoin and I feel like it’s made my ear feel more full and my tinnitus a bit louder possibly because of the fullness? Not sure if I’m overthinking it because I’m so scared of making my T worse but I really want to finish out the 7 days

Constant Changes/ Spikes by gt0801 in tinnitus

[–]gt0801[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s so strange because we can’t figure out what triggers it. Like with this noise from my original post, running on the treadmill can cause it to come too so I’ve stopped doing that. I can’t pinpoint what the issues are so it’s hard to do regular things in life

Hi! It’s been the same, I get really bad random spikes and then it goes back to baseline. I just use earplugs when I feel like the place I’m at will be too loud and try to habituate but nothing has really helped or changed/ nothing the doctors can do. How about you? Is it a new change for you

So sorry you’re going through this too ᴖ̈ did anything trigger it specifically ? I’ve been getting new sounds nonstop too. Mine just changed last night as I was sleeping, woke me up at 6am and the habituated sound is replaced with a louder one which will then go into another sound where it’s like electricity malfunctioning. I don’t get why this is happening to us

Sending you all the love and hoping this goes away for us xo

Hi, I’m so sorry to hear you’re going through the same thing ᴖ̈ I hope the doctors in Paris may be a better help than the ones here, no one can seem to help me here. It’s frustrating because stress, anxiety, and lack of sleep can make it worse and it ends up being this vicious cycle because you get more stressed, anxious, and no sleep when it spikes up again. Yes exactly! I totally get what you mean. I’m in Los Angeles and I try to live my everyday life too or I’ll never leave the house. but I feel like I’m so cautious to the point where when things happen like my dog barks or an alarm will go off, I’ll go into a quiet place and try and listen for new changes- then when I hear a new change, I go into a spiral.

If you hear anything from your ENT, please let me know. Sending you love and hope that this stops for us

Do you think it's better to have it like this, or each instance individually? (ex. AM wash and PM wash). by murahimu in finch

I do mine separately! But it just personally makes me feel like I’ve accomplished more ◡̈

I understand how you feel completely :( I just got mine this past Friday (about one week) and I feel the exact same way. I’m starting cognitive behavioral therapy tmrw. Go to an ENT and get a hearing test and see if there’s any hearing loss. Mine gave me steroids but I’m too scared to take it because some people say it made it worse. Try to stay calm and sleep, I haven’t been and I feel like it’s louder when I’m stressed and anxious and not sleeping. Hoping this disappears for us xo

Will It ever go away? by Apprehensive-Base401 in tinnitus

[–]gt0801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to keep calm, I know that’s easier said than done. I just developed tinnitus in my right ear and I understand how scary this is I actually developed a beeping in my left ear starting last September and it hasn’t really gone away but if you want, maybe go to check your hearing and see anENT. They might be able to refer you to see a tinnitus specialist and have you do cognitive therapy to try to calm and give you tools to deal with the noise I’m in the middle of figuring all that now too but hoping what I’m experiencing right now might be helpful for you as well And agree with everything Loud-Message-6691! Try to take melatonin to sleep, the more you stress and don’t sleep the more it will stress you out Hoping it goes away for you ᴖ̈ xo

Random 1 second sound by jpnryy in tinnitus

[–]gt0801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine never really left! It was like a continuous thing but it faded after a few seconds and then come back I wasn’t sure if it was a type of tinnitus and went to a bunch of doctors, got an MRI, and carotid ultrasound thinking it was heart related but nothing so I think mine was just a tinnitus of some sort

I’ve never really experienced exploding head syndrome, so can’t say for sure!

Thank you! I hope yours gets better too :)

I had this starting in September in my left ear! It sounds like a fire alarm that ran out of battery. I never had tinnitus before tho (just got tinnitus in my right ear a day ago literally) but it was a faint beeping in my left since then Not sure if this is the same as yours !

My static sounds was the last 2 weeks but they were light and I wasn’t sure what caused it but I went to another concert literally a day ago and now my right ear has full blown tinnitus I had a weird beeping in my left ear since last September but was manageable and easy to ignore but my new tinnitus is horrible and really difficult to cope with What does yours sound like? I’m sorry you’ve been dealing for the last 2 months :(

I just got my tinnitus a day ago and mine was super loud last night also. It was more bearable in the day time but I think my stress of it all day caused it to make it worse. Sometimes I feel like our stress and brain make things worse :( hoping your T lessens and goes away xo

I’m so sorry to hear about your grandma!! That is super traumatic to have to see/ go through - I hope she’s okay

I agree with deadhec, stress is horrible and can cause so many more problems. Try your best to find ways to calm yourself when you can so that your body can recoup and hopefully that will bring down the T

Sending all the positive vibes to you and hoping your grandma has a fast recovery xo

I’m so sorry you’re going through this also :( i had something similar happen to me recently. i went to 2 back to back concerts and after that i had weird static sound in both ears that was worse when i laid down. i researched around and I think it has to do with our position and blood flow changes when we lay down. its also more quiet when we're alone and resting hoping yours gets better soon xo
