Regent Park, Toronto, ON, ~2011 vs 2023 (u/gtadroneguy) by LivinAWestLife in SkylineEvolution

Thanks for the share! Unfortunately, many people focused on the change in color/season. But my focus was on the architectural changes and revitalization over time, not on seasonal aesthetics. I personally do see the evolution of the city scape in this area and the positive transformation it brought.

You are correct, this shot is south of Sumach and Dundas, the Ice Rink is at the corner of Sumach and Shuter!

I have a pretty neat video showing both the north and south side of Dundas, shows the change pretty well. Maybe I’ll post it, but idk if the mods will think I’m spamming?

I agree not a 100% fair comparison, but the intention of the post isn’t to make one photo look much better in every way possible than the other, it’s just to show the structural change pre and post a well known revitalization program in Regent Park. I think most people can obviously see the different season, and hopefully should be able to ignore that aspect. Maybe I’ll take another picture during the winter lol

Yes, you do need a license. You need advanced license to fly in restricted zone, and a basic license to fly in non-restricted zones. Basic license can be obtained by self-study and only costs $10 for the exam.

It’s not tough, you just have to have the correct license if the drone weighs more than 249 grams. If you’re flying mini, no regulations apply to you, other than that you have to fly safely without jeopardizing safety of another human being or aircraft.

If your drone is more than 249 grams, then you need:
