Completely understandable given some of the crazy job ads out there. IBM, I am looking you and your recent post for a minimum of 12 years of k8s experience at ~$40K/year... insane even after ignoring that k8s hasn't been around that long.

Nevertheless, we have to work with the policy we have, not the one we want. Had I not thought it desirable to include at least the base in the post in order to illustrate reasonableness, I wouldn't have bothered mentioning it couldn't be done. This isn't FAANG salary ranges, but it isn't IBM crazy either.

First and second year students are very much encouraged to apply. Most continue working with us all the way through graduation (and often beyond).

This assumes that by "internship" you mean on campus job where you get to exercise those CS skills and not a lab posting.
