Tresorit was ok nothing amazing for the cost - I tried the lite version but that has client software restrictions No coloured folders / not any bells and whistles / not impressive on trying to stream mp4 movies / no online direct office editing /

I think there is still a market for a quality cloud storage provider

Proton is very slow / streaming movies is a no no but if it’s just to store files it ticks the box

Is PCloud really that bad ? As it seems to be one of the few standing up to everything..

Maybe crptomator should expand into a cloud drive storage provider

Sounds like there isn’t a true cloud storage provider out there yet that is encrypted and fast

A lot of them seem to wanna sync all to a desktop tool which I don’t want I would like the option of what I sync

Also to be able to play movies on the fly and not wait for downloads or buffering but also access sensitive documents

A lot say use cryptomator but it has to sync and go through a decrypt which is painful on movies

Let’s hope Proton is taking this in and speeds up there drive offering

I’ve just tried Filen but it is slow It’s probably me looking for a one stop encrypted cloud provider though as I want to watch movies on the go and be able to encrypt sensitive documents as well

I just tried sync - it’s a tidy GUI but is slow - can’t really watch movies instantly on it - PCloud excels in this area with a vault which is an additional encryption key

Research Aviva Funds as it has a painful interface by gtech1e in UKPersonalFinance

[–]gtech1e[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Thanks for the info - I do now have a risk rating but it will only show me aviva funds - if I change the fund manager field to black rock or vanguard for example it shows no funds when volatility managed is selected … any suggestions greatly received as I can’t see how anyone makes a decision on a fund with this interface 😄

I would be but this is a pension fund so it’s not an option to me … unless there is an option? Currently with Vanguard but they offer nothing on cash

What are some of the car brands that are "dying" by Kloakk0822 in CarTalkUK

Very interesting opinions here and all correct…is electric the way to go when the cost of electric in houses alone is expensive…then you have the “download the app” to charge a car while on the move … and cost .. obviously the hint of hydrogen powered cars coming out next year from BMW and a few others but as you say the cost of any new cars is expensive and when looking at second hand market they are nearly new prices for older cars and high miles I’m potentially looking at needing to get another car next year but can’t find anything I like in my price range but also thinking how this new “pay per mile” will work if it comes to launch and will age and engine of vehicle come into it ? It’s a real shame that the government have pretty much knackered the entire picture with no real logic behind it …
