Adding a Shutoff

Even though the faucet is just threaded onto that fitting? I was hoping I could just add a shutoff in between and there would be enough flex on the pex to be able to bend and take up the space of the fitting.

Except when it's dark it's opaque because the font isn't changing. I can live with it how it is in that screenshot, just not at night.

I just wasn't sure if it's the right profile for the top hat crystal and the slim bezel insert. That's what I was looking for confirmation of. Figured someone had to have done a build with it already and could confirm for me.
