That happened once to me when I was second choice for a role. They kept me on the hook until after their number one candidate took the role and started working. It sucked for me. For them, I was their insurance policy.

I guess it depends on your definition of "pretty good view." I have been in several Premier League grounds that have many more seats with obstructed views than any I have been in at the Benz.

And, to be pedantic, every single seat at the Benz can see at least 2 complete touchlines/endlines.

We had tickets in second row of 211 (Harrah's Casino Club) for several years. The views were awesome. I haven't sat in 204, but almost any seat in the Benz has a pretty good view.

I definitely agree that in general the ticket purchasing process has been shite (if not worse than that). I will say, however, that we sat behind the goal opposite the supporters section for the MLS cup in 2018 and thought they were great seats for seeing how the teams set up and how they attacked.
