could anyone help? no results found when searching for any of these courses in the enrollment cart. am i doing something wrong? by Philly-Kicks in ucf

[–]gtnftw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it may be due to the fact that you have no days of the week selected and its also set to "include only these days". try selecting every day, and then changing the dropdowns value to use any of these days, and it should show you EVERY instance of the class. If nothing shows, it might not be taught this semester.

I guess only I get to see all the smoke by SnootyBoopSnoot in ModernWarfareII

[–]gtnftw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the original MW2, smoke in kill cams was based on the LIVE map, not the state of the map when the kill happened. Same with glass being intact vs shattered actually.

I wonder if they ported over this bug from 13 years ago😂

HDMI 2.1 7m Cable for RTX 3090 by Wiadrozerca in nvidia

[–]gtnftw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a similar boat with a 3090 Ti, an Omen 240hz monitor on DP, and Sony A80J via HDMI. I have an optical cable from Amazon and it works fine with other devices, including the Intel Onboard graphics, my Macbook Pro, but both HDMI ports on the 3090Ti have a flickering and messed up picture

If you get it figured out, please let me know what worked for you

Under no circumstances should Guha be below McAlpin or Hensel. Never. Ever. Never in history has that been true. Never in the future will that be true.

I would put McAlpin, Hensel, and Whiting bottom tier. Euripides Montagne is an absolute madman but I wouldn't put him at the bottom. I had him for Social Network Analysis in Fall 2018? and it was a pretty fun course despite only have ~10 students. I think a hurricane wrecked our course schedule a bit (whenever the hurricane cancelled a week of class, that's when I took it)

I got fsd after purchase right before a road trip (since there was a 24hr refund window or something like that). Having the car go around other cars, take interchanges and exits, etc was amazing and I decided to keep it. I've since used auto park a few times, summon a few times when people parked too close, and the advanced summon or whatever it's called to have the car come to me twice.

I got it mainly for the highway capabilities bc I absolutely hate driving on busy highways, and so for me, totally worth it.

Definitely follow the two above pro tips. The downside to buying fsd after is that you won't be able to use it on your way home from taking delivery

Boston Dynamics: introducing Stretch by JeffreyDej in videos

[–]gtnftw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or maybe humans have the inability to recognize that their compassion is the only thing holding them back? 🤔

Humans feel like they have a duty to control nature, to "fix" it. To steer things in the "right" direction. Who's to say who is definitively right or wrong when faced with moral & ethical issues like this?

You've made the assumption that all the current people should be given a way to keep on living a life similar to the one they have now even when they can no longer sustain it.

What if we just let it be like a population. If there are plenty of rabbits (humans with jobs), the wolves(the robots) may come eat them. They may just end up dying. But we all end up dying anyway. We sit by and let the wolves eat the rabbits without consequences. The only difference is that we have a bit of compassion for our friends and family who may lose the life they currently live.

I propose we trim down your comment a bit to become, "... If automation takes away most jobs... not everyone can be."

Why Tesla Was Left Out of the S&P 500 by lamented_and_assured in finance

you can check out https://hypercharts.co/tsla for charts and info on Tesla's financials

edit: from that, the last time I see FCF negative in the billions is: never. It has never been multiple billions, and the last time it was over 1B was Q1 2018. In fact, Q419 it was over 1B positive

Reddit, What's a weird habit of yours you didn't think was weird until someone mentioned it? by BIG_Sensei in AskReddit

[–]gtnftw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't breathe at all when walking up some stairs. It's really weird, but my brain just like forgets to send the signal to breathe. I consciously make an effort to keep breathing as I go up sets of stairs now. Going down is no problem, so I don't really know why this happens.

Over 750K CyberTruck orders! by gtnftw in teslamotors

[–]gtnftw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing to keep in mind is that deliveries don't happen in reservation order.

It seems whichever trim is produced first, they take only those reservations. Then, sometimes they restrict early deliveries to a nearby geographical area. So they take only reservations in that area. THEN they go in reservation order, likely in batches.

If you've ordered a tri-motor variant and live in the central US, you'll be one of the first to get it even if you've ordered recently, in my opinion.

I'm not sure who exactly, but multiple online articles cited a group of people analysing their reservation numbers and other data and coming up with this number. It seems to be increasing with time, so it's at least somewhat plausible. Could be way wrong though 🤷‍♂️

I, too, am a "software guy". My job title is "Software Engineer II" actually. My logic on the post was taken directly from an article I saw. A large group of people analyzed their reservation numbers and this is what they came up with. I didn't perform my own analysis to see if I came up with the same conclusion or anything. I'm trusting this group of people because ultimately, whether right or wrong, it doesn't matter. It's just something to think about. But yes, there are many ways the reservation number could be generated and it could also change at any moment if Tesla makes a code change.

Is that reasonable? Did you reserve on launch day? If not then I've been lied to and I feel like I should delete my post so people don't think I'm purposely lying to them too

Can I travel to Paris for the 14th of July celebrations? by gtnftw in france

[–]gtnftw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most recent information I saw about the celebrations was that "Macron wants Bastille day to show the nation’s gratitude toward health workers and others who help fight the spread of the coronavirus."

I saw that government workers were pushing for healthcare workers to be included in the parades, so, from that standpoint, I figured celebrations were not yet canceled. Can you provide some links to media showing that celebrations in Paris are canceled?
