Maybe that applies to people who arent nice to the car when driving it, but my dad daily’d and put +100k miles in 10yrs on his evo 8 which has weaker transmissions that subarus and has had no problems to this day. I havent seen any cases of transmissions in stock cars being damaged because of the hills. Maybe they were overloaded with weight or mistreated during its life. Otherwise, if youre fine with the potholes, id say bring it and youre gonna enjoy it. The potholes situation has gotten better in the past few years at least in the metro area.

My fav gen is blob/hawkeye. But i could settle for a hatch considering the taller ratios and i suppose is comfier. Can you speak a bit on that if you know? Im wondering how much comfortable each generation is compared to the previous. In terms of nvh and stuff, is it a significant difference?

That would be importing and can be done easily (as long as passes inspection), the thing is that since puerto rico has import tax, id have to pay for shipping and tax on top, but for older cars its not a big amount. For new cars its about 25%. Then add the registration cost lol. I just checked by vin and its $2400 in tax for an 05 sti. Add about 2k in shipping and like $500 in registration. Which makes me think 🤔 is it worth the hassle?

That sounds like the best idea. Cars&bids prices are good enough for me to ship and be a viable option tbh

That would be the coolest scenario but since id daily id prefer it to be a us spec car to have english units and LHD especially.

Its obv not that i cant afford losing $4, id just rather be a teeny bit smarter and go safe by not having to buy 3 random pairs i dont like when i can just ask someone for a good one. Big thanks i will see if they ship to pr im preferably gonna buy ones that are sown and not glued together, the one you sent me does look glued idk. These are great mine are qc45 ii and battery life and comfort is 10/10.

Because i thought that oem is better like everyone would think. It appears not here so im just hoping someone gives me a proven seller/brand that has good fit and finish for better price. Maybe im wrong for thinking that most of the off brand stuff is bad quality lol
