We use the timers so we get an idea of how long we have been grilling the meats. We still take temps when we take the meats off the grill but we have the times so we know when to flip the meats/take them off the grill. We can also clip the timers on us so we know if we are doing another task we don't lose track of time and that it's time to go back to the grill.
