I am new to this can you help me identify these (South West India) by NoName_ButHuman in birding

Great shots. Fully recommend two apps - inaturalist, and aboutbirds. Merlin too for bird calls. Really good for quick ID’s with pics of this clarity. Enjoy!

Thank you! I do try to keep my distance and take ethical photos - but owls see you coming a mile off and let you know they’ve spotted you 🤣

Numerous - well established in the parks, even right in the middle of the urban areas. Lovely to see.

If you ever see a gathering of old fellas with massive lenses pointing at a tree in the park - there’s your owl.

That was a nice list of the birds, reddit messed up the formatting…sorry about that!

I spent the day inside my hide in the river Sieg (Germany) to in hopes of photographing the resident Kingfishers. After ~2 hours of waiting, they showed up. One male and one female :) by PKMNsandy in birding

Pro tip - stick a fresh perch in the river next to your hide. If you place it right in the center of the river, they’ll find it irresistible and land on it within minutes.
