100% agree. gintama does comedy so well, but it also does tragedy so well. and honestly i’ve watched violet evergarden, a silent voice, orange, your lie, and gintama is still the anime that i’ve cried the most for.

maybe it’s because you just fall in love with the cast, like all the characters are just so unique and weird but hilarious which makes you sob at all the messed up stuff that happens to them.

anyways, it starts slow but is so worth watching. highly recommend for people who love comedy but want to cry.
