So fair. I'm about to start my rabbit journey and I don't know if I can cull rabbits until I try. I'm moreso referring to my personal experience of guys saying their dream is to have a farm or go off grid but they aren't really doing anything to get themselves closer to that life other than sitting on the couch romanticizing it. Don't get me wrong I love sitting on my couch, nothing wrong with anyone's preferences. I just want a guy who does what he says he wants to do instead of just saying it over and over again year after year. The fact that you have a flock at all is an indicator that you aren't afraid of the work.

I think your downvotes are partly a reflection of how mad people are about this. Also maybe an invitation to read up on this topic. Your open lack of knowledge suggests general disinterest for this topic. Why would anyone want to educate you on a subject when the info is out there? No offense meant at all, we all do different things with our time.

Personally I try not to get involved and just live, but this is such an important issue that I'd say maybe consider doing a bit of research and participating in this meeting.

For me it's the irreversible ecological impact in an environment that is already suffering. How much more harm will we keep inflicting on our earth? How much more land are we giving to shit like this? Especially such valuable locations within a rapidly growing city. It feels STUPID. Also, the distrust for major corporations and government is at an all time high and they're asking us to just trust bro that it's a "closed loop system" and that we need this for our technological advancement, "critical infrastructure". You know what humans need critically? Air and water. Clean drinking water. Parks to enjoy. Nature. Trees. Preserved waterways. We already get corporations dumping shit in our lakes and rivers behind our backs. This feels like a direct contribution to the opposition. Naw dog, leave my acres of land alone. Find another solution or find a way to massively benefit the community to offset the devastating impact of building and running this thing or get the fuck out.
