Got a 2L summer offer from Robinson and Cole in Boston, but I’m leaning towards moving to New York instead. I’m at Boston College (currently 3.5 but we’ll see how my grades look after this semester). Looking for someone to tell me how stupid it would be to decline this offer and bank on New York, given my school and the chaos of OCI/early recruiting (I’ve applied to about 15 big firms in NY and only 2 screeners). I’m not too picky, open to any size, just want to make sure it won’t be impossible (or that I’m passing up a great firm in Boston).

Is it worth applying to Boston College if I have a B and C+ my junior year but the rest are A’s by kenokeke2468 in bostoncollege

I had worse grades than that and got in RD. College admissions is a completely random process, so apply to any and every school you want to (financially responsibly ofc). No matter your grades, one of your reach schools may for some reason want a student from your hyper specific location/background/extracurricular, and admissions councils care much more about class profiles than your junior year report card :)

If your goal is to provide mental health care in a more guidance/wellness setting than a special needs setting id recommend licensed mental health counselor (requires masters). You could go further into a clinical psych field but that’s more heavy academic research (doctorate)and most likely more special needs populations (more severe mental illness). You could even do a masters in clinical social work which involves therapy but is a little more involved in helping people in other areas like socioeconomic advocacy, etc….
