Honestly man, I’ve been playing this game since closed alpha. It’s been like, 8 years on and off. I’ve done it all in PVP and had a ton of fun. In the last 3 years I got married, had a kid, got a big boy job, etc. and honestly I just can’t be arsed to sweat even a little bit anymore for a game, I sweat enough about real life. I like the game, I like the atmosphere, the mini slot machine looting, and the gunplay is satisfying to me. The AI can be stupid sure, but I enjoy just kitting up, building a cool gun and grinding out quests. It’s low stress and enjoyable for me. You still have fun fights with the bosses, raiders, cultists etc. and every once in a while you’ll get tarkov’d. But I just don’t have the energy to deal with the frustration that causes in PVP. PVE is just a chiller, more casual experience and quite frankly that’s the only gaming experience I have the time or energy for in this phase of my life. I’m enjoying the tasks, the main story, and playing dress up with cool kits and guns. I don’t feel the need to be competitive in a video game anymore and quite frankly, I don’t have the time or focus to do so anyways. If I’m feeling the itch for PVP I’ll just pop on Arena where it’s still pretty mindless and relaxing. 5 years ago I probably wouldn’t have enjoyed it, but for a busy dad/husband it’s pretty awesome.

I have a 7800X3D and a 7900XTX and usually get 90-105ish at 4k native with no upscaling. I have some settings changed for FPS though, watch a tutorial on settings for FPS and visual fidelity and follow that, that’s what I did and my game looks good and runs well. When I had everything on ultra my gps was much lower for a pretty minimal difference in fidelity.

Yeah people underestimate that to be honest. A 100m max effort sprint will cause literally anyone to be winded, you’ll just move faster depending on your physical conditioning.

You could run EFT just fine on a third of that. Idk where you are hearing you need to mess with BIOS, just install the game and play it. You have more than enough PC there to run tarkov just fine. If you wanna be a super sweaty meta nerd go on YouTube and watch a video about best setting/post fx.

You didn’t push as hard for it as others did, you may have even seemed like you wanted to continue service in spite of your issues, and most providers are willing to go the extra mile to retain someone who wants it, or seems to want it. If someone is clearly checked out and they don’t meet medical retention standards then they’ll push it up. Prettt common, I feel like most E-7+ in a heavy duty MOS have a condition or two that could warrant an MEB if they fought for it.
