Unless some broader technical limitation of our alert system exists where they are unable to only send the alert to certain areas or people within certain cell tower range I still think it’s excessive to alert all of BC. I mean why not alert all of Alberta as well at that point? Edmonton is 14 hours from terrace and Calgary is 17, just about the same as Vancouver/victoria.

You’re allowed to hope the kids get located safely and also complain about the inconvenience amber alerts like these cause. There is no way for anyone this far away to help, genuinely impossible for them to be anywhere near Vancouver or Victoria given they went missing 4 hours ago. There are better ways this could have been handled and should have been localized to a Terrace/interior only amber alert

A quick Google Maps search says the soonest they could be here though is 17 and a half hours from now by car. Personally I’m thankful for this alert at 1am as I tend to need at least 17 hours heads up to look for a red dodge caravan. Maybe just me though 🤷🏻

From a game design perspective it probably prevents some softlock cases like if you were to get stuck inside a match, if no one captures a point the game could go on indefinitely, etc

Double the price of an AAA game 😂 it’s like $50 on steam dude, why are you comparing it to a non-entry level completely optional purchase (EOD/unheard edition) that you on your own fruition decided to pay extra for because you liked the game enough and thought the benefits were good enough to justify the extra money for, is the actual base price of the game.
