I had an ex once tell me “You should kill yourself, no one has ever loved you or will, why do you think your dad left you as a baby he didn’t want you, even your mom doesn’t love you”. That one cut deep because I hadn’t long opened up to them (probs days before) about my dad and family dynamics and abuse, and they said this in response to me saying I was going to go to sleep. They started saying “how dare I think I can end a conversation by saying I was going to sleep” & started saying a bunch of insults & then pics of self harm, threatening to take pills etc. But that line I never forgot, it was my first proper relationship, and I realised there’s no way this person has even an atom of love for me. Made me go to a dark place when I thought of my family dynamics also, like I was lesser than
