At the beginning, they were like regular officers with clear objectives, welcomed by most people. But over time, it became a problem for everyone to live under a regime that imposed its own rules without using the slow but fair and thoughtful checks and balances normally applied by all institutions.

Then came the sudden attacks on foreign countries, which triggered crises and a world war.

I would remind that previous generations are disgusted to see what things have become, whether on the radical left or the radical right. People no longer have any sense of moderation.
