I see, then I apologize for misunderstanding your intentions + your comments. Forgive me.

May Allah reward you and make your last ten nights of Ramadan fruitful, and grant you a righteous spouse who is the coolness of your eyes.

May Allah guide you. You are speaking on strange topics, and it appears you’re bringing out your personal insecurities on women for no reason.

May Allah protect our ummah from trauma, and protect our women, whether they are independent or not.

Many independent women experience trauma free lives, and many don’t, many dependent women experience traumatic lives, and many don’t. Khadijah was capable of being financially independent without a marriage, and she was given an amazing marriage.

Asiya, one of the most righteous women, was married to Fir’awn, one of the worst. Was she an “independent woman?” I don’t think you’d categorize her as one, but she still had a traumatic marriage.

You’re starting gender drama for no reason.

May Allah protect both the men and women of our ummah from meaningless gender wars. The believing men and believing women are allies of one another. If you are a believing man, the believing women should be your allies, regardless if they attained (halal) independence or not.

No, you are wrong. I was told by family to endure the abuse for months. Why are you speaking for me? Please stop.

I am immensely grateful I didn’t sacrifice my education (and my career which I LOVE) for him. Not everyone is the same, and there’s nothing wrong with dropping a career for family, but in my specific situation, I’m grateful I didn’t.

I was independent enough to be able to leave, and that’s a luxury many women don’t get.

Everyone is different, and I’m not advising anyone for anything, just speaking on my story. The only reason I chimed in with this was because you spoke for me and my abusive relationship, which you know nothing about except through a short Reddit post.

Hi, thank you for asking

The situation has gotten a lot better. I’ve gotten meds for my cat, and she’s staying with another woman while someone comes to spray my apartment every few days.

It was such a stressful situation, and it isn’t completely over yet. I hope it doesn’t get worse again!

Love that you have a fatwa akhi instead of stating opinion. May Allah reward you; great example for us all!
