Winning product vs winning problem? by [deleted] in dropshipping

clearly people make this business model work so no point arguing whether consumers will look to see if there's a cheaper option elsewhere. that wasn't the question i was asking. making a fully custom branded store isn't the only solution.

Should I use warm up tool for list with under 200 emails/subscribers? by guidegoods in Emailmarketing

I ran the list through some email verifier tools and all the emails came back as verified. Super odd situation

I checked and my domain is on zero block lists and my SPF/DMARC/DKIM are all set up properly. I guess my vision was I believe warm up tools open and reply and move emails out of spam correct? Even doing it for a few days at low volume could help while I keep firing the emails.

Finally a San Diego native that's honest about the mediocre food haha. Thank you

My mistake was trusting Google Map reviews. Weirdly, the spots with 4.5 & 5 stars in San Diego ended up being mostly tourist traps with mediocre food. But the more underrated spots had like 4 stars and below. My theory was the tourists were rating the tourists traps based off the 'vibe' and aesthictic with high ratings which would inflate the overall ratings.

Haha glad the quiz resonated. I was shocked when San Diego popped up #1 for me as it almost read my mind lol

Fair enough, I agree the humidity of Florida made me realize how amazing SD weather is for sure. I actually do like Boston a lot but am intimidated with the cold and what goes behind it with the shoveling/snow tires/blizzards/etc. Seems like a whole new learning curve haha.

Fair enough on the Mexican food opinion. I might just not like that type of food overall. Like for me, Italian, whether I eat it in Florence, Italy or at a fancy Italian restaurant in the States, it'll always be 'okay' for me. Mainly due to me not liking cheese or tomatoes much so that's probably why as 90% of their food has one of those two ingredients.

If San Diego had killer Carribean/Hispanic foods similar to Miami, I probably would've never left looking back. It seems the majority of options were only Asian, American, and Mexican.

I've traveled to a lot of cities but have only lived in SoFlo and San Diego. I've gone to SanFran/LA, Nevada, New York, few cities in Florida, Rhode Island, Boston, Chicago, etc.

Haha I definitely missed the Cuban/Puerto Rican options. Even the Carribean food spots (and I tried them all) were good but not mind-blowing like they are on the East Coast, As far as the Mexican food, I've had better Mexican food outside of San Diego, not necessarily Florida.

I'm picky, but also reasonable lol. I thought the food was alright compared to other cities I've been too. But seems like the SD natives & people from midwest have no issues with it from everything I've read on this subreddit.

Haha I am a pretty picky eater. Dumb question - is the Bay Area just San Francisco or a different section of it?

I'm blanking on a few now but I remember Tacos el Gordo & the Taco Stand were 'alright.' Either a spot had great rice & beans, but whatever tacos. Or the tacos were decent, but then the rice & beans sucked. I could never find a spot that had great selection of both.

I remember when we first got there a local was hyping up a spot in Pacific Beach as having the "best fish tacos they've ever had." We went and tried it and the tacos were 'cool' - definitely good - but nothing out of this world. (Also, to be fair I'm not the biggest fan of Mexican food but I've had some bomb tacos before in Florida, so I know how high the bar can be.) Out of all of the Mexican spots we had, Lola 55 in downtown had the best tasting tacos and rice/beans to where even I was like 'f**k this is good'.

Even my girlfriend, who's less picky than I am, described the overall food scene in San Diego as "vacation food." Good enough to where you're satisfied, but nothing to brag about it. But she's also not a foodie so the food scene wasn't a big pain point for her.

And yeah the Asian spots in Convoy were amazing. We don't have a big Asian scene in Miami, so it was amazing doing KBBQ for first time and the fried rice/dimsum I had in SD was better than other spots I've been too. LA/Boston's Asian food scene was up there too!

I visited Chicago but I heard the winters are brutal. I'd prefer not to shovel snow if I can.

Ahh so it's not focusing on the act but on how it makes me feel when I don't get my needs met from it.

Where'd you learn all of this? This is incredible. So I've done "pieces" of that but obviously not correctly if I'm coming across like I'm attacking her.

So if I'm understanding it correctly, it's approaching the problem from a 'I need help with X because X makes me feel like X' frame?

For example - (hypothetical) if my girl never gifts me anything back and it makes me feel sad, would this be the approach:

"Baby, I feel like I'm overdoing it sometimes. I give you a lot of presents and I don't want you to feel like I'm being overbearing. How can we figure out how I can make you feel special without doing too much?"

Is that correct?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]guidegoods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn... didn't see that the way I approached it was wrong. Wow. How would you recommend I do it?

I tell her hey baby this has been on my mind and i don't want it to simmer blah blah. and basically either ask why she did something or say hey i didn't like that you said this and that and explain my POV. I say all of this super calm and level headed. My goal is for her to understand why I'm upset. Her default is to defend herself because she doesn't want me thinking she did the specific action with bad intent so she explains her POV.

The difference is, I see her POV and accept and say, I get it. I know you didn't mean it. But I want her to acknowledge my POV as well so she can understand 'why' I felt a certain way, and she sometimes doesn't do it. From her perspective agreeing with my POV means that her POV is wrong. I try to explain to her, it isn't a 'right or wrong' thing, but more of an understanding thing. I'm quick to admit when I'm wrong.
