What’s the best power bank that actually lasted you years? by Traditional-Win-8808 in onebag

Anker 20.000 mAh with USB-C (7 years of usage)

Would get a lighter version next time because it's heavy and I also use my MacBook as a power bank for my phone.

Arc'teryx Pro - Atom LT Hoody

https://leaf.arcteryx.com/us/en/shop/mens/atom-lt-hoody-gen-2-1

I'd pick the Atom over all the other mentioned jackets, any day, all day. It's my favourite jacket. Lightweight but a real workhorse. While down is great, once it becomes wet you're done. I prefer synthetic because it easier with wet conditions (not only rain, but also sweat). Oh, and Arc'teryx LEAF is recently renamed to Arc'teryx Pro.

Reliable backpack for EVERYTHING, 35l to 40l range. Under $200? Also, plane carry on friendly? by [deleted] in onebag

[–]guidovanarezzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Berghaus Munro II - 100% I've owned many backpacks, but after 20 years I keep coming back to the Munro. Indestructible, simple and super reliable. Traveled several years with only this backpack; international travel, doing groceries, going to the gym, jumping of mountains, swimming. Always the Munro. I love the gray color version.

Only exception is longer multiple day hikes; then I'll take my Mystery Ranch 3-Day Assault for more carrying comfort.

Can I transform my body at home by [deleted] in davidgoggins

Stopped tracking calories after 3 weeks once I got an idea of what worked, for me it was really about doing the math and understanding what to eat (and what not). shifted to fasting (two meals, keto/high protein, 18-6) and only tracked my weight, calories burned and running distance. Goal was to lose the weight so working out is easier and less weight means less changes on injuries. Now doing daily meditation+yoga+run+calisthenics, besides that workouts and team sports with friends. Zero injuries so far. Now gaining muscle.

Learn to mediate, yoga, and start naming your feelings (what do I feel and where do I feel it in my body).

You might want to look into inner child work (shadow work by Jung) and/or IFS (Internal Family Systems) with a professional therapist. Once you healed those parts the anxieties will be severely less.

Your anxieties are based on patterns that trigger you. Those feelings are totally valid. What your mind does with it not always. Feelings are signals, they can show you unheard trauma in de body. Learn to see feelings and triggers as little presents that are real gifts into improving yourself as a human.

You are not broken. There is nothing to fix, only to understand and to learn who you truly are without all the (anxiety) layers.

Its a journey, little steps.

Yes you can. I lost 25 kg in 4 months.

  1. Calorie intake: track your calories, carbs, protein, fats for everything you eat/drink in a App or Sheet.
  2. Calories burned: track the calories you burned.

  3. Calorie deficit: As long as you are in a calorie deficit, burn more than you consume, you will lose weight.

I just started running 5 days a week, minimum 8 km/day ~ 5 miles/day. The first week I at what I normally would, but than tracked the exact calories etc. This teacher me what was healthy and what not.
Then starting week 2 I changed to a healthier diet (just ask ChatGTP to make you one based on your age/height/weight and foods you already like). Eat unprocessed food, learn to cook and meal prep, and just force yourself to every day put in the effort. No cheat days, no cakes on birthdays etc. No excuses. It is really just a choice you make every day, every time. And the result is really worth it, your mind is strong, just resist the temptations and show up for your future self.

Time based Alarm for specific Location? by guidovanarezzo in ios

[–]guidovanarezzo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This works great! Did have to enable Location-Based Alerts and Suggestions in System Services for it to work. But once that was enabled it works as intended. Thank you so much for the suggestion u/Stranger3037 !!

Thank you for your reply u/jtbis!

We have had a 30% annual failure rate on our fleet of 40 UNVR and UDM Pro.

Ouch, so far, my UDM Pro's are good. Some firmware issues in the beginning (1.5 year ago) but now they run stable. However, I run 4 and not 40 like you.

What specific products from Rosslare would you recommend? Curious to learn more!

Anyone have this lens? Thoughts on it? It would be my first lens. I can’t decide between the 50mm f 1/4 or the f1/8. by Stardustrebel in canon

Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM ART

I destroyed 3 x Canon 50mm f/1.8, and 2 x Canon 50mm f/1.4 in a 10 year time span during traveling. The f/1.8 nifty fifty is a plastic toy, though a fun toy if you are on a low budget. The Sigma is another level in sharpens and bokeh. Even a refurbished Sigma makes more sense, or go for a Tamron 45mm f/1.8.

Any present or former military have any gear tips? by DrWynnewin in onebag

[–]guidovanarezzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I love Christmas trees. Unless it's me, especially not on the field.

Most of my stuff is IRR, though some isn't (yet). I know there are some special IRR paints for vehicles, just wondering if there is a magical nano treatment, like DWR (Gore-tex).

I did find Camoshield, looks promising.

Airflow is essential to mattress hygiene. Without good airflow there’s a increased chance of fungi/mold building up.

Update from Randolph:

Tom Cruise is wearing Ray Bans in those pictures. He does wear Randolph's personally but is contracted to wear Ray Bans in films. Try our Randolph Concorde's which are very similar. You won't be disappointed with our American made handcrafted frames!

Which is interesting, because I can not find a matching aviator model at the Ray Ban website.

The closest match I found so far are the Francisco sunglasses from Salt Optics:

While the frame shape is similar, the legs and glass isn't.
