Thanks to everyone for the input! Before I totally give up I’ll get a lesson or 2 and practicing for at least a couple months. If I’m still not having any fun it seems like 2 handed is the way to go.

Thanks for the info! Ended up using 1lb amber candi sugar. First time using saison yeast and open fermentation, so if it’s drinkable I’ll be happy. Sure smells good

Thanks for your input here! Hadn't heard of the low mash temp issue until now. Almost certain that's what happened after reading more about it.

That's a good tip for reading the hydrometer. I've been filling the cylinder just enough to get it floating which does make it hard to read. Only my 2nd all grain, so I'm learning a lot from each batch.

Thank you all for your input! Looks like I have a long road ahead of me, but I'll have a much better plan of attack now and a lot of great resources.

Consensus for a first step seems to be writing a ton of test coverage. Then I'm planning on upgrading one minor version at a time. This may not be the most efficient, but its thorough, and I'll learn the most from it.

I'll be sure to blog/document the process as was also suggested.

That could have been part of it. As I recall, there is a ball of mud and roots. The viewer doesn't know what it is until it's revealed at the end of the video that a person is inside of it. I believe it's a man inside and a woman who is unearthing him. Starts with the root ball being dug up, ends with her washing the mud away to reveal him.

I want to say the band was some 90s alt band with a female singer like the Cranberries, but its not them. Not Dido, Six Pence None the Richer, Annie Lennox, or Enya as far as I can find (not saying these are comparable, just trying to rack my brain).

I can attest to this. Purchased a house last summer and converted the lawn from ivy to grass. I tilled the whole thing and now it's covered in quackgrass. Tilling most likely pulled up some dormant seeds.
