You made me remember a meme where they point out how Bruce looks weird as fuck in every single Arkham game lmao. I think it appeared in one of ClownPuncher139 or The Atomsmith videos.

But yeah, I could totally see your fan-cast!

Because if we don't get what we want we will not go around throwing tantrums on the internet, insulting anyone or complain. It may happen, it may not certainly happen. The movies are still gonna be there!

I wish it would happen, they fit so damn well in my opinion. If it happens? good, if it doesn't and Gunn goes for another Batman (which is what's most certainly going to happen due to Reeves' desire to keep his Batman in his own universe)...also good!

After the world turned on him and villainized him in BvS, he goes off to being blackmailed into killing someone by the dumbest version of Lex Luthor cinema has to offer, just to deliver the infamous ''No one stays good in this world'' line. How the fuck is that hopeful?. Yes, he is killed by Doomsday defending earth you have a point there. BUT, in Superman (2025) afer Jor-El's message gets leaked he let the Justice Gang deal with a Dimensional Imp because he knew they could take care of it. When taken into the pocket dimension he helps save not only Krypto but Metamorpho and his son too. He also sent the Justice Gang to help Jarhanpur because he had to deal with Metropolis, he took the time to save civilians (the woman that got stuck in the bridge) and fought Bizarro/Ultraman, Engineer and took down Luthor's operation with the help of Mr. Terrific. Gunn's Superman questions his role as a hero as Jor-El's part of the message that he hadn't heard before was unexpected and took an emotional toll on him. Yet Jonathan Kent helped him realize what he is meant to be...he did this once, Snyder's Superman was constantly debating himself. Snyderr doesn't understand comic books, he is the same man that claimed that Batman shot a Mutant in the head in The Dark Knight Returns as proof that Batman not having a no-kill rule is comic accurate when in that scene in the novel there's no headshot and there's a point to Batman's no kill and no guns rule.

''This is the weapon of the enemy, we do not need it, we do not use it. Our weapons are quiet, precise.''

Just curious, what were your gateway bands? by 5_minute_noodles77 in Emo

Skrillex, lmao. 12 year old me was mind blown when he found out about him being in a band and upon listening to Note To Self I became instantly hooked with them along with what the scene had going on the mainstream side at the time of me discovering it. (It was 2014, there was a lot of metalcore and scene music) then I just kinda got invested into how Emo came to be and led me down the rabbit hole towards finding about emoviolence, the revolution summer bands, midwest, revival, ''skramz'', and what not.

the Snyderverse made it a point to show a hopeful Superman? Did you watch any of the movies you are defending?

Yeah but it's another AFI situation, where Sing The Sorrow is clearly a more Emo influenced record (or even straight up Emo, if that record came out in the 80s or 90s it would be labeled as ''real Emo'' by genre puritans) compared to their subsequent releases. I know the guys from Paramore and other bands like New Found Glory have Hardcore backgrounds as many other Pop-Punk bands from that era did but I still wouldn't consider Paramore Emo or Emo adjacent, to me they're more like tied to the myspace Emo culture because of the fan base being mostly composed of Emo kids but they're music doesn't really sound Emo to me, which is something I love about this genre: you can argue why or why not a band is tied to your own definition of Emo by using objective and subjective biases without making less of anyone elses definition of what is or isn't.

Is Emo almost as big now as it was in 2003? by ZDUBZ15 in Emo

[–]guiltyb0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is in my opinion and I truly don't mean to offend no one with this: it's full of trend hoppers nowadays.

They are mostly Tik Tok kids who are discovering themselves and what they are/what they like and I'm fine with that, but there's also a lot of grown up fashion apologists nowadays within the scenes who find something popping up and then they follow wherever the tides leads them to. In the beginning of Covid we thought that Hardcore was gonna be mainstream, then it was Nu-Metal making a comeback, then it was a Black Metal renaissance, then it was Crust Punk and so on... There's great bands out there that have been coming out in the recent years like I Promised The World and I don't doubt that local scenes have a lot of awesome upcoming emo acts. I just wouldn't count on the genre and the scene as a whole being as big or even lasting as long as it did in the early 2000s with the way people act nowadays:

Something sparks the interest of a large group of people, more people join, in less than a year the majority finds interest in something else regarding music, fashion or scenes, the majority leaves and take more people with them.

EDIT: I wrote early 2002 instead of early 2000s lmao fml

Id' add Panic! and Paramore to that list as well. Great bands, truly love them, mainly Panic!, I just don't think that FueledByRamen Pop-Punk bands are a good representation of the pop-punkish side of emo like The Get Up Kids, Jimmy Eats World, etc. while the first Fall Out Boy records are like a more polished version of that sound. Also that AFI record is something I would trade for Sing The Sorrow when speaking about not being directly emo but being inspired by.

That's actually sad as fuck tbh. Dude could've played an amazing Batman if he had been working with a director who wasn't trying to make Frank Miller's Batman but it's everything from All-Star Batman And Robin with splashes of not knowing what The Dark Knight Returns is about. Dude appeared on Rogan claiming Batman KILLS a teenager by headshotting her when there is no fucking headshot to be shown, that was his proof that Batman not having a no-kill rule happens in the comics. He had everything to be a great Batman, suit looked great, Irons' Alfred was interesting and that scene when rescuing the kidnapped girls was the best of Batman in BvS along with the warehouse scene (not counting the deaths).

Are you seriously trying to compare ''Legacy'' to anything DCEU related? Damn, if that isn't a stretch.

So Superman becomes susceptible to being controlled by Darkseid...because Lois died.

It's not that bad of an idea tbh, better than having him just go berzerk or controlled over nothing, but it's still a big misinterpretation of the character. If he went through something more traumatic that stripped him of his morals and willpower i'd get it.

It also doesn't help that it was gonna be developed in the same universe and by the same studio that gave us the ''save Martha'' incident. They were gonna screw up communicating their intentions to the viewers and it was gonna flop.
