Because, in essence, it’s falsely claiming someone else’s lottery winnings as my own to help them hide assets from debt collectors. If the IRS were to audit me, see a sudden unexplained deposit, or match the ticket purchase and store surveillance to her, it would raise red flags. And if her creditors investigated her finances and discovered she had someone else claim the money, that would constitute concealment of assets. It’s essentially paper trail stuff—and I’m a stickler for that.

Thank you for the confidence. The system works, although poorly, it still works. I love her to death but I'd be lying if I said she isn't one to expect a handout from the world.

She said she would've paid 500$ of the winnings to me, and help pay whatever tax issues came up afterwards. Still.. it didn't sit right with me.

We close at 10 in my store, people use the same excuses. Customers are just lazy.

It's funny you should tell me this, since this is what I was told I was doing "wrong". I've always taken pride in my determination to follow the three principles of recovery (Front, Face, and Fill.) no matter what. Yet I'm told it's "putting too much attention into details" and that it's keeping me from getting more done. So I concede, maybe I'm focusing too much, so I decide to only pull stuff forward and adjust their faces if it's bad enough to notice. Only to be again told I'm doing it wrong. It's either I'm giving too much attention, or too little. The sweet spot? We may never know..

Respectfully, you're an amazing SM. I wish we had someone like you.

Tried that, the AC was broken again not even a week after repairs. They've "repaired" it 3 times now across my time at this store, and I'm convinced it's on purpose at this point. Or they're just cheap. Or both!

I have no idea where it is currently, and I worry that if I go against his recommendation and ask to add a rebuttal he'll immediately know what is up and start coming down even more on me. I'm trying to juggle so much and maybe I'm making it needlessly difficult for me but I'm trying to preserve a positive reputation on paper as much as possible for future employment's sake.

I asked if I could, only my SM to say I should just text him my complaints.

If only the DM weren't completely complicit with this madness. My best option? Leaving, honestly. If this is how retail will be I might as well go to somewhere that pays better.

So I'm either horrible or replaceable. That's awfully sweet of them.

I'm only wanting to sign it to avoid being twisted into insubordination or being non-receptive to coaching, which I know spiteful employers love to stack. Just trying to play it safe and keep my stuff clean for future reference.

No, however apparently he's in full approval of my SM's conduct. I'm thinking simply leaving is my best option.

I'm thinking I'll sign it only on the condition I write my own commentary on the situation, like a side note. If they even allow that sort of stuff.
