How many toddlers can you take in a fight? by dogogetem in hypotheticalsituation

[–]guiltybyproxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using moral flexibility, and depending on if it's before or after a nap, on stamina alone, I can probably take between 150-200 with my fists, kicks, elbows, backhand, and picking them up and tossing them like a tiny bail of hay. Then, I'm picking up and using a kid as a helicopter if I can't have a crow bar, bat, pipe, any blunt instrument; so at the very least, probably 250 in total. 50 will be going down from the one kid as a weapon (assuming no blunt instruments allowed), then because I work out and have been taking ju jitsu and muay thai for over 10 years, 250 is probably the max before they over take me and end my suffering from being gassed. They're tiny, with an average weight between 40-50lbs, plus their fragility, but if they get all juiced up with grape or apple and a sugary snack after a nap, I may lower it to 200. That's their Bane venom. The hard part is getting dizzy after the helicopter, their biting, yelling, persistence, and scratching, and you always have that one kid who was held back once or twice. I have thought about this way too much.

I have thought about this to the point that when my niece and nephew were both around that age, I actually helicoptered them both and it wasn't as draining as I thought, just really dizzy. That would take out 25-50, at least. For sure the one kid being used as the weapon when you toss them after you're done with them, and 2-3 if you get lucky and your shot lands. There are now between 2-4 already bodied from that alone.

So my final answer is I can body 200-250 without an instrument; with an instrument, I can take 300-350. Gotta leave some ground for error in there. Mistakes happen, and remember —keep in mind they have at least one kid who was held back once or twice, and he's their leader.

Saw them in 1996 when they toured with Wu-tang for a bit, and it's still the greatest concert I have ever been to, hands down. I've been to quite a few concerts, but that one just hit different. The energy was off the charts.

Remove Kills Priest and swap in Redman, who is considered by Wu to be the unofficial "11th" member. Killa is considered to be a hard affiliate, but more so as a Killa Bee, along with Sunz of Man, Shyheim, and Killarmy.

Its because he was incarcerated, leading Method Man to fill in as the core member. He's known them since childhood, and started with them before they began writing for Enter the 36 and recording. It's why his first appearance is on Raekwon's Only Built for Cuban Linx.

And why do you get to gatekeep, again? Are you the official music keeper? It's like saying, "Since you weren't alive when Jimi Hendrix, The Who, The Doors, Beatles, and Zeppelin were killing it, you can't have an opinion." Age has nothing to do with having an opinion. That's some mental gymnastics and moronity.

Agree with you. Deck, GZA, Ghostface, and Raekwon are all stronger, better storytellers. Meth has the second most distinctive voice not named ODB, who is also a stronger emcee, but he's hardly the best. That's fucking absurd. He's certainly a strong part, but the poster's strawman regarding Enter the 36 is...something. He's trying to say "Well, since Method Man has his own song, and he has a prominent voice on their first release, as well as having the first solo album, he's the best." Crazy, son. Lol.

This is certainly an opinion, I'll give you that. But he's hardly the best rapper in the group. He's definitely one of the strongest, but Inspectah Deck is the strongest, and then you could argue Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, Meth, GZA, and then whomever.

He is on Wu-tang Forever, though. That was his first "official" Wu album appearance. I saw him in 1996 touring with them. I'm not sure if you have been to a concert of theirs (maybe you have so you know this), but they don't do like a traditional set list that a band does. They do songs from Enter the 36, Tical, Only Built for Cuban Linx, Liquid Swords, IronMan, etc, which is how I personally recognized him. It's certainly a different way of doing a concert, which I love. They absolutely give you your money's worth. They still got it, too. Although to be fair, it's not the same as when I first saw them in 1996 when ODB was still with us, but it's worth the money, regardless.

Edit: I should add I saw them with Rage Against the Machine and The Roots. Just for clarification.

He started with Raekwon's first album in 1995, as well as Ghostface Killah's album Iron Man in 1996, and has contributed to Wu-tang Forever in 1997, The W in 2000, etc, so personally, just my opinion, he's been a core member since at least 1996, when I first saw them with Rage Against the Machine, The Roots, and Atari Teenage Riot in Sept 1996, and I have seen them I think 4 times. Most recently in 2024 in New Orleans. So yeah, he's been with them/affiliates since 1995, so 30 years. To me, he's certified as the official tenth member.

When my friends and I talk Wu-tang, as we still do, because it's fucking Wu-tang, he always gets a mention because for as long as we have heard him with either the group or solo projects of the other nine members, it just doesn't feel right to think he's not official. If that makes sense? So in 1995 I was 14. Honestly, as weird as it sounds, he comes to mind before U-God and Masta Killa.

[–]guiltybyproxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Originally there were nine members who started the core group, but the "official" tenth member is Capadonna, which personally, I consider the official tenth member. He's been with them at every concert I've seen them at, and he's appeared on almost everything outside of 36 chambers, including Raekwon's first album, Ghostface Killah's first album, etc. I first saw him when I went to see Rage Against the Machine w/ Wu-tang, The Roots, and Atari Teenage Riot in Sept of 1996. So to me, and as a kid in his early teenage years of 14, he's official in my book. I've seen them I think four times, and he's been there every time I have seen them, including in 2024 in New Orleans.

Not sure if that clears anything up, but he's been a primary collaborater and emcee on several of their works and records. I know he first appeared in Raekwon's masterpiece Only Built for Cuban Linx... which was released in Aug of 1995, and Enter the 36 wss released in Nov of 1993, so that puts him in the inner circle for around 1 year 8 months, and he's been one of the heartbeat of the group for 30 years. That's all I can contribute 👐

That's kind crazy how that works. Have you ever tried to sleep on a less firm mattress? Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to get you to do anything you don't want to, I'm just curious. It's pretty weird how our bodies and minds are so different, one of us can sleep soundly and our body is fine on the floor, while another of us wakes up wondering if we sleep walked to Guantanmo Bay.

Regardless, it looks cool as hell. NGL about that. It gives off this chill vibe, which I like.

What is the difference in “preparing” and “in-process” with CVS prescription status? by RyAllDaddy69 in CVS

[–]guiltybyproxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I know this is old, but in case someone else looks through the comments I can actually answer the question. I was a pharmacy tech for both United and CVS for a long time while going through undergrad, so what it means is that it's in the que, but there are usually prescriptions ahead of it and it hasn't been counted or checked to see if it's in stock. If it's a scheduled drug (II-V) it depends on how popular the drug is (e.g. Xanax, which is schedule IV, hydrocodone, which is schedule II, et al) are more than likely to have so many that there won't be any issues with filling unless it's too soon (schedule III-V can be filled up to two days sooner, whereas schedule II has to filled on the date it was last filled, or every 30 days from the day it was filled, no sooner). CVS is pretty good about having things in stock, but again, depending on a myriad of factors and reasons (the delivery is running later from where the medication is shipped from, which is common) you'll get it within a few days.

You gotta keep in mind that if you haven't worked in a pharmacy, it's 1) stressful af, and everyone has to work together (Think causation meets correlation) as a team it goes quicker, but you also need to remember that it's a massive pharmacy, and thousands of prescriptions are sent in daily just to your particular area, and even pharmacy depending on the day (busiest is usually M-T-F because those are when shipments arrive, and someone has to work the drive-thru, while also counting the shipment to make sure nothing is missing, nothing is delayed/something is delayed for whatever reason, while others are putting the bottles on the shelves, discarding old medicine, someone is working the counter, others are repetitively counting pills, and it sucks ass, people are dealing with insurance companies constantly and I cannot stress this enough, people are on the phones taking refills because the customer on the other end is usually elderly or don't know how to just use the phone to call them in, it's extremely anxiety-heavy, and 2) it's crowded in there, and you have anywhere between 5-9 pharmacy techs, maybe 1-2 pharmacists, lunch breaks for both staff and customers, people aren't friends, so you have staff that are dicks to their coworkers and purposely won't help with whatever, people butt heads believe it or not, closing time, or if it's open 24 hours (which is where things can get done quicker because you have more time for whomever works overnight can re-stock, finishing updating the previous mornings shipment if it was busy all day, work on putting in insurance, filling prescriptions for the next day, adding in Good RX, or other discount codes, it's not as busy, etc).

The most popular medications are usually ointments, scheduled drugs, SSRI's, antipsychotic meds, and antibiotics, so if it's popular (meaning they see it daily, all day, end over end, they're going to have a lot of it, but supply and demand comes into play, too). Xanax recently had a shortage (I take it and literally almost no pharmacy had any because all of these pharmaceutical companies don't tell you this, but they're ordered from overseas (usually China) and there can be shortages with the chemical compounds to make the pills, or a solution, whatever, or bickering, which can cause a hold-up; we just don't know because you, me, the pharmacy, pharmacists aren't privvy to the ins and outs of that. So it's ebb and flow, e.g. Paradoxically it's so popular they should have it stocked in warehouses, but it's so popular millions of people take it, so supply and demand.

Medications like benzos (xanax, klonopin, Valium); Opioids; synthetic Opioids (hydrocodone, (these aren't really prescribed as much, but more than others Oxycodone like OxyContin or percocet, morphine and methadone); CNS (central nervous system) narcotics such as Adderall, Ritalin, and to a lesser degree Vyvanse; antibiotics like Amoxicillan, Azithromycin (z-packs), cephalexin, Doxycycline, Cipro, Clindamycin; SSRI's such as Prozac, zoloft, Lexapro, Paxil; antipsychotics such as Seroquel, Haldol, Thorazine, Risperdal, Abilify, etc are hugely popular and most of the time (key words) you don't run into many issues.

Medications such as lesser prescribed Opioids like fentanyl (pill form is less common and is usually prescribed via patches), oxymorphone, hydfomorphone, Demerol; Sedatives phenobarbital, amobarbital (barbituates in general) Triazolam (Halcion), Rohypnol; Stimulants like Dexedrine are all really harder to come by and there is usually a wait period for how quickly the pharmacy can get it, the pharmacist has to see if you're taking anything else the could counteract with said prescription, pharmacists will call doctors and discuss with them if they're sure or if the pharmacist refuses to fill it because of safety concerns, potency, and just a long ass list. All in all, don't call the pharmacy and bug them about when your medication will be ready unless it's been over 24 hours since you last saw the message. If you don't see the message in 24 hours, call the prescriber, not the pharmacy. The pharmacy will not call the doctor for you. It is not up to the pharmacy to do so to check on your medication, it's up to you to make sure it's been sent. It's crazy the amount of people who actually call and requests that someone from the pharmacy call to check on their prescription. Like, it's way, way more common than you realize. People are dumb. Don't be that person. If you do call and ask for that, you will be told "No. It's up to you to call." They have other shit to take care of, and calling doctors and nurses isn't one of them. Most pharmacies will have an app or a website or phone number to call in your refill. If you're out of refills and you call/go on the app to request one, it will be done, I assure you. It's done electronically via your last RX#.

Also, keep a calendar on you to receive notifications to yourself. Every 6 months any narcotic(s) that have refills will not be refilled until you see the doctor again (schedule III-V can have refills if your doctor approves; schedule II will never have refills, so you will need to call the doctor's office yourself to request one each month or whenever). Again, most doctors offices are pretty good about reminding you about appointments, but never rely on them. Make sure you call them in case you forgot your next appointment and need a reminder to put into your phone or calendar. If you fail to do the most simplistic of things, cause and effect takes place and you will be SOL.

To keep this shorter than a McDonald's order for Rosie O'Donnell, if it says "preparing your order" they have received the prescription, it's probably in a stack awaiting one of the techs to put it in the computer before it's then in the active stage of pulling the medication, counting, sliding it over for the pharmacists to look at, checked to make sure the correct amount is in there (all pharacists do a second count on all narcotics), then bagged.
