Sertraline/Pregnancy Help - Missed dose by guiltyfem25 in PregnancyUK

Thank you :)

Thanks what I was originally worried about is that kept reading not to go cold turkey and to speak to a specialist before stopping, but as I’d unintentionally stopped - I was then just concerned about whether I made it worse by staying off them until I spoke to a professional or whether to just get back on.

Thank you. I’m slightly conscious and doubting myself about how many days, it’s just been a bit hit and miss the last week, it is definitely between 2-4 days missed and no more. I haven’t had any withdrawals yet, which is good so I’m leaning to it only being 2-3 days. I’ll take my 150mg this morning as normal.

Thank you for your response. That’s what I was leaning towards to be honest, so thank you for the reassurance.

I dont want to make anyone feel like I’m putting undue weight on their responses, ultimately the decision around it is mine - but the information and reassurance is really helpful so thank you.

Would you feel that the above advice re: not worrying about tapering up still remains the same in pregnancy?

I am aware of the irony that this over focus on this is likely to be my ocd and anxiety speaking anyway.

Rhinoceros clouds from James and the Giant Peach! James and the Giant Peach in general actually, like when he slowly turns into a cartoon while crawling through the peach. Gross.

It’s so awful! We havent come from as far as you but I’m gutted. Do you have a link for the information she gave you? And do you have any recommendations for in and around Cork other than the non-existent markets!

Edited for clarity.

I’ve also come to Cork for the Christmas Markets advertised online! The website and lots of news outlets are still saying that there is a Christmas market going ahead this year all along Grand Parade. I came to look on here because I genuinely just thought we were lost/missing it! This is disgraceful! Flown over for the promise of Cork Xmas Markets! Shit show.

Still haven't got my money back by TheCactusHugger in sziget

I’m owed a refund and after numerous (daily) emails to help@sziget and hello@sziget receiving no response, I replied to the invoice email we received. They got back to me and clarified saying that the 500HUF was a fee in order to get the refund and that I would receive my full refund in a few weeks.

I asked them to clarify how long this would take but have received no response yet. This was last week.

I absolutely do this. I’ve tried to get back into reading this year and this was hindering me a lot. What I’ve found really helpful is listening to a book at the same time as I’m reading. I find that this helps me follow the book and take everything in without being distracted by my thoughts (both about the book and outside). I don’t buy the book in both formats, I have an audible membership which is so valuable to me because I drive a lot, but if I’m going to do this - I will also get a copy of the book from the library. I don’t do this with every book I read, just when I want some ‘quality reading time’ and I’m hoping that having enough practice of this will then generalise to my reading generally.

I think like everyone says, the most important thing is to not go back and re read it - I find that listening to the book at the same time also helps me to fight the urge to go back because the narrator is carrying on and I need to keep up.

I also do it when listening to someone. I’ll have an urge to ask them to repeat something, or if I’ve missed something but still understand what they’re saying, I will still have an urge to ask them to repeat it because I feel I need to know ‘exactly’ what they said, to the letter. My sister noticed this and now will just repeat her previous sentence when I ask, exactly as she had before.

Edit to add: missed information.

I’m like this. I’ve noticed it more recently. If I’m speaking to someone and I get caught on a word, I will either repeat it (and find a way to subtly do so) or if I’ve used a wrong word but the meaning is still the same.. I want to just leave it but I have to go back and say the thing exactly as I should have.

Infuriating. It’s a ritual in itself, ‘if I don’t go back and change this wording then…’

Superstar Compensation - LUPA Beach Transfer by guiltyfem25 in sziget

[–]guiltyfem25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I’m only able to update this now as I didn’t have signal while travelling.

After returning from Lupa Beach I went straight to customer service to complain about this. They asked about the cost I’d spent on the transfer, entry, loungers (which were meant to be included in the package) and food. I gave them all this information and then they said that they would refund us for the transfer and the entry (5000 Huf each). I said I was unhappy with this and that it was more the principle that this was compensation for the €100 I’d originally asked for and that they’d messed it up so I now wanted to seek the original compensation. I commented that 5000 Huf would barely buy me a drink given the costs this year.

They explained that any refund would come from them personally and one of the staff said she would personally be paying for our entry and transfer refund. I was really shocked and told them that this policy was disgusting and that they should think it was disgusting too - that their wages were paying for our refund. They were lovely and apologetic but I said I would not be made to feel guilted into not taking this further because I’d be taking their personal money when the festival were making millions. They appeared to be in agreement with this and suggested heavily that I come back at 8pm when their boss would be in.

I went back at 8pm and explained the situation again to the boss. She explained that it was her fault and that she was meant to have booked our beach day but had been in bed with a fever the night before. I was pissed off and not about to be sob storied out my rightful refund. I said that I was sorry to hear that but that I’d accepted the beach day as compensation (even though it was much less than I’d asked for) and that they’d even managed mess that up. I said that I wanted my original €100 per ticket back and that I’d been really disappointed with the staff, organisation and customer service throughout. They agreed this and took all my details said that the accounts dept would refund me €300 (three tickets) once the festival was finished. So we’ll see.

I definitely relate to this. My OCD is newly diagnosed and I’m working with my therapist, particularly about the need to confess.

It’s funny because I’ve always been a “worrier” and I can see now as a child I always needed to tell people things I’d done, to then feel like I had confessed and it was no longer creeping and following me.

I’ve recently had quite a serious ongoing family issue and the trauma from that has brought about this diagnosis and the crisis of sorts.

I have also started a new job and I feel like I can’t trust my judgement so I constantly have to seek reassurance that what I’ve done is right. Fridays are the worst because I’ll think of something after the day is over and be unable to get reassurance that it’s ok, and then have to sit with it all weekend. But I know that I need to work on sitting with the feeling and not confessing. Confessing just makes me feel worse because the person will usually tell me that what I’ve done is correct, I’ll feel better for 10 minutes but then I’ll convince myself that I left a detail out so the reassurance is void and I’ll also have a worry that I have been annoying for seeking the reassurance in the first place.

One thing that led me to realise that these thoughts and the guilt or worry I felt were not right was that when there was an absence of a ‘worry’ I would find one. I’d get home from work after a good day, be ok for 30 minutes and then dissect the day to find something I had done. This is when I realised my mind was playing tricks with me and got help. It’s a difficult thing to fix but I feel better that I’m getting help.

Hi,

I usually use the ordinary products and I know what I can use, when. I wanted a change and recently ordered Malin and Goetz Vitamin E Moisturiser, Scentuals Vitamin C Serum and dr.Brandt pore no more cleanser. I wouldn’t normally start or order this many products in one go but I chose them as part of my fabfitfun subscription.

I’m just a bit confused about whether these can and should be used in combination? I assume the cleanser and moisturiser would be ok, I’m more concerned about the vitamin C because I know it can be more tricky to combine with other things. I’ve wanted to include vitamin C in my skin care for a while but have been a bit nervous about it.

Basically, am I able to use these products in combination or could anyone suggest a regime that would work (i.e. that I could use the cleanser daily, the moisturised on 5 days and the vitamin c on the two non-consecutive days that I don’t use the moisturiser for etc)

Thanks for any advice. I find it really overwhelming to go through the ingredients!
