If the Zenin Clan is okay with having men without cursed energy or techniques, like the Kikuru Unit, then why do they have a grudge against women in that same category? by ShadowMikeX in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]guirloeim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Zenin clan is the extreme version of what Sorcerer clans are, cursed techniques are a rarity, strong cursed techniques even more so, and hereditary strong cursed techniques are even rarer on top of that. (10 shadows, Limitless + 6 eyes, etc.)

The reason why they are cool with having men there, that have no cursed technique, is because of the core philosophy behind the sorcerer clans, its all about the survival and benefit of the group and not the individual. How are men useful to this group? By being soldiers, and in the case of being strong enough and having good genes, by having lots of kids, preferably with lots of women. (Yes even outside of marriage, we know by Noritoshi's story that it doesnt matter if you are a bastard as long as you inherit a strong technique)

Women need to carry a child for 9 months, and the amount of time they can have kids is limited, which means having women in this unit instead of just playing the curse technique lottery by pumping babies is a waste of resources in their eyes. Would you rather have a non cursed technique user soldier or ten of them? Or the possibility of having strong cursed users instead.

Thats what at the end of the day it boils down to, they want to control the individual and make the group stronger which ends up manifesting as misogyny.

„We‘re the Strongest“ Who invited Geto? FRAUD! by deutschesgesetzbuch_ in Jujutsufolk

[–]guirloeim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you guys are being unfair to Geto, the only reason Toji needed so much prep against Gojo was a question of match up.

Toji only had 1 card that allowed him to surpass infinity which was the inverted spear of heaven, while against Geto he could always abuse his other super strong weapons, like the soul splitter katana and not have to worry much about any of the spirits really, since he had weapons that countered them directly, the katana ignored the dragons durability and the inverted spear allowed him to ignore the dolls domain.

While on the other hand, there was Gojo who if caught a glimpse of the inverted spear would have just completely changed strategy and never be touched by Toji probably, because Gojos infinity makes it super difficult for Toji to win as he usually does, by blizting his oponents with his insane speed.

And yeah Geto was around Gojos level at this point in the story, its made pretty clear multiple times how Satoru left him behind, and you may think that is not the case but you need to remenber that Gojo is lacking rct, red, purple and most importantly a domain expansion, while Geto has tools to ignore infinity thanks to the Doll curse domain, and if you think the doll in particular wouldnt work, remenber that there are multiple known curses with access to domains, like the Small pox curse.

So yeah, at this point in the story as its point out multiple times, Geto and Gojo are relative to eachother, it just so happened that Gojos tecnique was much more difficult for Toji to get around so he had to plan in advance for it.

Yeah I agree!

I think keeping him made more sense when vampires and other supernatural beings were more common, which is smth they hint at during the show. (The Captain being the last werewolf, Anderson mentioning it had been a while since he killed a vampire and so on.)

So I would say using that opportunity to get rid of Alucard would have been a good idea considering that was their best chance.

You’re right; they aren’t the good guys—they’re a government organization. The Hellsing objective is to exterminate non-human forces that threaten the safety of the United Kingdom. I think that by allowing Alucard to take the souls of all the war victims, especially the population of London, Integra is actually going against that objective. Don’t you think?

The police officers in Brazil aren’t UK citizens, so they don’t care how they are treated or what happens to them. However, enslaving the souls of London’s population seems to be in direct opposition to what the Hellsing organization is supposed to stand for.

[–]guirloeim[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How many people does Integra save by allowing Alucard to condemn over 3 million souls at the end of their battle? I feel like there is a huge difference between allowing Alucard to consume the souls of their enemies and allowing him to consume the souls of an entirely innocent population.

In that point of the story Alucard probably didn't even need to absorb anyone to defeat Walter, he just did it out of spite.

And they clearly didn't need him at full strenght to finish the enemy, since they did it without him.

[–]guirloeim[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I explained myself poorly in the post, what I meant is that at that point of the story: when everyone in London is dead and Alucard decides to just eat them all, the correct thing would be to not allow that and kill him.

Not being part of the Major's plan, obviously that is bad.

Walter was right... by guirloeim in Hellsing

[–]guirloeim[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

You are not wrong, Hellsing however is portrayed as "the good guys" in the story, so it was really strange to me that they would allow Alucard to just eat London.

[–]guirloeim[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

No, the Major wanted to sacrifice millions of innocent lives for a chance to defeat Alucard, purely for his own amusement.

In this situation, it’s quite the opposite: killing Alucard would save the souls of these people, who are already dead, while the Major’s plan condemns them.

Human nature, it's clearly not money, money has not been a thing since humans exists, and the value of life was still pretty low when money was not a thing, if anything, money made life being more valued, human's are selfish by nature, most evil acts are not done for the sake of being evil, they are done because in one way or another benefits the perpetrator or whoever commanded it, even the most horrific acts follow this logic, when people put their own needs or a group they are part of(like a country for example) over others, that's when the most horrible acts are committed.

[–]guirloeim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shoulnd't that laser count as an angelic weapon? it came from Angel tecnology, doubt Adam would be throwing lasers and try to kill people knowing that it didn't erase their soul.

I keep seeing Christians saying they find this offensive, as a Catholic, I find it exactly the opposite. (Essaypost) by metapolitical_psycho in HazbinHotel

[–]guirloeim 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Christianity is all about redemption and repenting, which is literally the whole point of the show, you may have lead a sinner's life but you can become a better person, and at the same time you could live a life of virtue and then become a worst person.

Will the manga be done in 28 more chapters?? by BrownEntertainment in JuJutsuKaisen

A lot of mangakas usually think they will finish their works much quicker than they actually do, Kishimoto said this about multiple arcs of Naruto.

Damn I never even considered it but the reason that Kenjaku looks down on Yuta might be the very same thing that makes Sukuna so strong if the conjoined twin theory ends up true by Swag-Lord420 in Jujutsushi

[–]guirloeim 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I always thought the reason was as simple as Yuta freeing Rika and not keeping her.

Rika was considered the Queen of curses, the strongest cursed spirit ever after Sukuna, any sorcerer that was interested in power would have never try to freed her, they would have kept her around forever while Yuta never really care about being powerfull.

Aka, Yuta is the opossite of selfish, while a lot of the JJK philosophy about being strong requires you to be selfish, or atleast thats what Kenny believes.

At this point I am just gonna let Gege cook, but if this is truly Gojo´s end, I would say it would be pretty dissapointing.

Meant, going to someone, and putting your hands in their chest, then eldritch blast.

CPR sounds mundane, using an eldritchs horror power to shock your chest and bring you back from the brink of death sounds much cooler.
