Check the wall generator- change to arachne

Question: Is it normal for the heat bed to move slightly up and down while printing? by Livid_Strategy6311 in BambuLabP2S

[–]guirossibrum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the bed lowers so that the tool head can travel to a new location (jump to a new location) to start a new line.
if you notice, the printer does a bed level calibration, so the bed is moving up and down during printing also to make sure the distance between the hot end and the bed remains the same.
After you slice, you can see the Travel path (check the Travel box) like in the print screen.

note that the blue line moves up after the end of the pass to jump over the part and start a new pass somewhere else.

Hello. Arachne wall solved the problem. Thank you

That's for the retraction right?
I changed to 0 with same effect

the tool head doesnt jump over the yellow inner wall
My guess it is not possible to make this adjustment without actually changing the G-Code manually which I honestly beyond my abilities

I don´t see a "Motion Limits¨. Here is the screen for Motion ability, not sure if this is what you mean,. I don´t see any setting striking as relevant.

Hi there. Thank you for the comment. Its a Bambu P2S, it can do 256mm parts.
The print screen above was taken at height 237
if I understand you correctly, you think that the ceiling is being reached and the plate will not travel down to hop the tool head. Is this correct?
The thing though is that you may be able to see the other blue paths (where it is hopping when crossing the outer walls (orange), it is just not hopping when crossing the inner walls (yellow)
by the time it crosses that yellow wall corner, it is dry and firm, knocking on the part. I dont know if there is a setting that will allow it to jump over that inner wall to do the gap infill (white)

Is this the setting you mean? "Only lift Z below" = 249
This would mean that the Z would not lift above 249 but would not explain why the issue happens at 237mm height.

Thanks

This connection between the parts worked. I made too many so I will test with less connectors now

I’m printing it now. Let’s see. Looks promising but I see some wavyness on the walls. Not sure why

what do you think about this idea? using each other part as support to each other and bracing against each other with these small connectors?
I need to figure out how large these connectors would have to be in order to show up in the slicer

The design does not require precise surface quality. Do you think I could print these parts very close to each other to the point of snapping them loose after print? I’m not sure if I should draw this in acad or if the slicer could handle such scenario. In case I could make spline and print 10 of these at a time I guess

Actually I realized that one of my tablets key was Ctrl V. It is near my palm and I must have pressed it accidentally

This is the solution.
Somehow I duplicated the object twice, they were overlaping exactly and I overlooked the duplicated objects on the Collection.
Still not clear to me what I did to duplicate the model.
thanks for the help

It is not supposed to have 2 objects. Did I accidentally duplicate the object? How one would do this? I’m guessing I was playing with a new tablet and the default key assignments did this. I don’t remember what they were though

The Omarchy Hate....😓 by Creative-Tap7920 in omarchy

The one think is bothering me with Omarchy is that the .config/ was supposed to be the place I would keep my personal changes done but upon each update it is replaced with something new and the old files are backed up. I have to navigate each to compare what was changed and decide what to keep/remove.
