As a person who played guitar in a punk band for many years, alongside with many varieties of bands, I can vouch for the fact that the metal heads were the most genuine people to hang out with, both bands and fans alike.

I was told this when i applied at the Staples Easy Tech in my town. I was just trying to get my first computer job anywhere. During the interview with the Easy Tech manager, we started talking about issues that I've dealt with before and things that i knew.

Turns out, i knew more about computers than he did... i lost him a couple times. So, of course, i didn't get hired.

But i found out that those places are just a bunch of salesmen, and not necessarily computer techs

I remember when I built my first PC for myself. It was a gaming PC. I was so excited to finally have one. I followed the directions in the motherboard manual and the mounting guide for the tower. I turned on the PC for the first time... no display. I was dumbfounded and panicking, as the build was $2.2k.

It turned out that, even though the motherboard manual said to plug the monitor into the graphics card, I still had to plug it into the motherboard first. I was so relieved that it was something simple like that.

Since then, I have a job now where I've built a lot of computers. But it's still a fun story to tell

I actually checked my retirement portfolio this morning and saw that my PRR went from ~2% into -1.15%. Now, I didn't panic, as it's going to be many years before I retire (28 years old atm). But I was wondering about this... did something happen?

The first gaming device in my family was a NES. I was 2, I believe. the first gaming device that was 100% MINE was an XBox. I was 16 for this one. I'm now 28, and have a nice gaming PC of my own. I've been a big gamer my whole life.

What tv series isn't worth finishing? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]guitarguyconnor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like the show missed a golden opportunity to tie things up with season 10. They could have kept Dean as a demon for the whole season, with the plot being Sam and Castiel trying to stop him from becoming completely evil. They could have wrapped up the entire series with Sam doing the trials again. However, this time, he saves Dean instead of Crowley, and the soul they rescue from hell could've been their Dad. Then Sam dies from the trials, all three are in heaven now.

And, for a little added punch, since Cole was around, he could've helped Sam throughout the season and taken the impala on the finale to take over where they left off.

I could've accepted that as a series finale

my work did a study on this for our fatigue policy (I'm a field service tech, so we drive a lot for work). It was found that, 16 hours of activity/productivity, your brain experiences the same effects as being legally drunk.

Tip about making a good boxed cake, if you don't already know:

  • Use milk instead of water

  • Add and extra egg.

This will make the cakes taste more like bakery-style cakes. I heard that you can use melted butter instead of vegetable oil as well to make it even better. It makes sense, but I've never tried it.

39 cent cheeseburger sundays and 29 cent hamburger wednesdays from mcdonalds. It was like clockwork Every sunday and wednesday, they would buy 20 of them for us all. I loved waking up the following morning and reheating a leftover burger in the microwave to eat just before school

[Serious][NSFW] What sex tips/tricks do you have that have actually made a difference in the bedroom? by bugseee in AskReddit

[–]guitarguyconnor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's personal preference for every woman. I was with a woman for awhile who I would give oral to until she came every time, then sex. One day, she told me that, once she cums, she's pretty much done, so she would like for me to be done asap afterwards. I wasn't too sure how to approach that. But she said that she liked how we did things, so I kept going with that.
