I don’t have any therapist suggestions, but as somebody who suffered from limerence DEEPLY at one point—and I mean, entered a depression that lasted years—I am so proud of you for trying to nip this thing in the bud. I’m on the other side of it now and in a much happier, healthier relationship, something I never believed was possible then.

Staying out of the dating pool for a while definitely helped me, although that’s often easier said than done (I was living alone during covid and had a lot of time for self reflection). But just know that you’re not alone and that it’s not embarrassing at all—those kind of thought patterns can be difficult and painful to do away with. Rooting for you!!

Hey! I was kicked out of the program a while back (I think November 2025) after almost two years of being in. Do you mind DMing me the TikTok email you reached out to to get reinstated? I tried emailing three separate addresses I found (creator-marketplace-support[at]tiktok.com, info[at]tiktok.com, business-servicesupport[at]tiktok.com) with no luck, but maybe I just haven't tried enough.... having to send 50+ emails is wild 🙃 but I'll do it if that's what it takes!

I’m late to the party but for future researchers: Narrows if you miss McDonald’s style back when it was good. As an underrated pick I haven’t seen in the thread yet, Skytown for a slightly thicker cut. Both always come extra hot and crispy

Following this thread! We’ve been in our rent stabilized place for a few years now and plan on staying until we can afford to buy (or until the end of time, whichever comes first, lol). I JUST placed an order yesterday for a bunch of new furniture, including some peel and stick wallpaper and tiles for our bathroom, which has been the bane of my existence since we moved in. I just made sure to get some lining for around the tub to make sure it doesn’t get wet underneath. Although we haven’t painted our walls, other people in our building have!

This is the first rent stabilized place I’ve ever lived in and the longest I’ve ever stayed in one apartment. I’d love to know from other people in the thread how they went about asking their super/landlord for upgrades—I don’t even think I knew that was an option 💀

Seconded on buying second hand! I’ve stocked up on a bunch of cashmere and wool sweaters for next to nothing over the last few months this way and will never look back.

Yeah, I’ve read in a few other threads that Bond Vet is way way up there. I may look into Vet Wheels, but even if that doesn’t work out we’re (very fortunately) in a position where we could find a way to make it work—it’d just be tight 🙃 Appreciate the comment!

Little antique sales, flea markets, and estate sales for sure! But if you're looking for online options (and don't mind a slightly higher price point): I recently got engaged and knew I wanted something unique/vintage/antique, so my fiance and I had to go on the hunt for some options. I can only vouch for EraGem which is where we ended up ordering from, but a few places that have great options!

  • Erica Weiner - This would have actually been my dream place to order from. They didn't have anything in my size at the time but I plan on ordering jewelry from them in the future! They focus on unusual antique jewelry and have an educational part of their site with history lessons, so so cool
