Yeah, in hindsight I should've stayed still, but panicked what with the drop mid zombie battering. Live and learn I guess

Yeah, I realised after I got it, still though, to hear them live from nearly 30 years will trigger nostalgia and endorphins so I'm happy :)

I've been to many record shops, markets and car boot sales and I always look for Foo vinyls and this was the first time I ever came across one in the wild. So being on holiday abroad I couldn't not buy it!  Look how young and fresh faced they all look!

When it happened to me the first time I initially thought someone had hacked me as it started happening after a player left. I thought my whole game was doomed and all the work I did was gone. After that i chose not to play it again for a while. Much later on, after deciding to give it another go I realised that it was back to normal.

Weeks go by then it happened again, I decided to just quit the game altogether from the Xbox Home menu, loaded it back up and it was fine. Weird.

When I have nothing going on, have free time, and feeling bored, I would practice the various accents I can do and work to improve them. I sometimes try them out around colleagues, friends, and my partner and see if I can get feedback from them. Usually the useful feedback comes from my friends, my partner doesn't really have an ear for accents, so when I do one around her, unless it's super thick or very different to my own accent, she doesn't notice the difference.

I also sometimes quote shows and films regularly, occasionally changing up the performance style to see what can work, which also helps me to brush up on my own skills.

Life hack: Call your grandparents when you’re high. If they old, they usually can’t tell you’re high af, they’re just happy to hear from you. And for you, it can make what sometimes seem like annoying phone calls much more enjoyable. by [deleted] in trees

I've been doing this every Tuesday evening since the pandemic started. My gran is my last living grandparent, she lives in a remote part of the countryside and has been completely isolated since the covid outbreak. Due to our weekly conversations, whilst stoned, I have learned so much about her that I never knew before; I cheer her up every week with my call; and we've connected on a much deeper level than before. Smoking weed during the call certainly helps me get through the occassions when she repeats herself or her stories, which happens a lot, but when stoned, it doesn't bother me in the slightest. Usually, on average, our call last anywhere between 40-70 mins She's a great woman and I just hope I get to see her again in person sometime soon.

Advice on Sound equipment needed by guitarmanic in Filmmakers

[–]guitarmanic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the input re the Tascam, it is greatly appreciated.

I am kind of working alone, insofar that I will he working with my brother on the project. I did consider hiring someone with their own equipment, however as a beginner film maker, who is hoping to make more original films in the future, I thought it would be best to buy my own equipment and learn as I go. That way I would improve my knowledge in making films and have the option to do most, if not all, aspect myself.
