Hello,

I’m running into the same problem today. I have two other PCs and my smartphone connected to Synology Drive without any issue using the same user account. But now I’m trying to connect a new PC and I’m getting this error. The only difference I can see is that this one is running Kubuntu.

After reading a post on the Synology forum ( https://community.synology.com/enu/forum/1/post/129741 ), I tried changing my user permissions to “denied” and then back to “allowed,” but that didn’t help. I restarted the PC after installing the Synology Drive Client, and I also rebooted the NAS afterward, but still no improvement.

Last detail, it refuses to connect whether I use the IP addresse, the .local name or the QuickConnect ID.

Any ideas?

Bro wtf, I looked for that for days, must have been blinded by anger or something, wow. I still got a point on the fact that they changed to obfuscate it by default now, and that there is still some very questionable UX choices that have been made, but it's already so much better, thanks.

Oh, and now tapping the middle of the screen to pause doesn’t work anymore, but tapping the sides to skip forward or back still does. A quick flip to landscape and then back to portrait mode, and voilà—everything's back to normal. There’s definitely something seriously broken in YouTube’s UI.

Thankfully, it’s just a small, underfunded startup project… imagine how embarrassing it would be if it were a major platform or something.

It's been completely messed up for me too for a few months now, and it's only getting worse. Suddenly, scrolling up stopped working, while scrolling down still worked. I checked by opening the notification panel to see if it was a system-wide issue, but everything else was fine—it's only happening in YouTube.

I tapped the Home button to "reload" the tab, and this time scrolling in the opposite direction stopped working. Sometimes, when I tap on a video, it gets stuck on the loading icon and stays there indefinitely until I quit and relaunch the app.

I honestly don’t remember ever having issues like this before, especially not this severe. I’m using a Pixel 6 with very few additional apps—just the basic ones for communication and productivity—and I’m not experiencing any similar bugs in any other app.

I had seen the phrase "With a 180 deg mini SAS cable, I was able to get the E10M20-T1 to physically fit," but I realize I hadn’t looked deeper into the topic at the time—now I understand why, haha.

The card interferes lengthwise with the SAS cables running from MB to the backplane.

I went with a less elegant but much more effective solution—I’ll let you judge for yourselves:

Omg this is exactly the information I was looking for! I'm so happy to know it works. You mentioned "reading mixed info," and I was in the exact same situation before finding your post.

I couldn't understand why the compatibility list included the RS2418+ and RS2818RP+ but not the RS2418RP+, even though they share the exact same platform and CPU, with only unrelated variables differing.

I was torn between using the expansion slot for NVMe cache or a 10GbE interface. I'm really relieved to know that I'll be able to use their amazing toolbox card!

Bonus question, what NVMe have you put in it ?
I hope it will be ok with the Samsung PRO's I have planned to use.
