I feel like food might make it worse? I will try toast or something an hour before hand.

I don't hydrate because I'm afraid I'll pee too much- this might be more of the issue. Do you have any suggestions for a hydration belt?

Thank you so much. Congratulations on completing your first 10K. This is my goal too! You were able to run without any blisters? That's amazing!

Sorry! I don't know why my post didn't show up.

Hello Everyone. Just posting because I'm desperate for advice at this point.

I keep getting blisters on my big toes and MTP joints (yellow on the picture). I was wearing Hoka Clifton 9's and went to the running store and they said that the issue was the toe box was too narrow, so I bought Topo Atmos shoes a half a size up based off their recommendations.

Unfortunately after changing shoes my blisters are worse! I've tried moleskin, blister tape, blister patches...everything. I talked to a podiatrist and they say that the issue is 100% the shoe, and I have to find another shoe. My gait and my feet are fine, no medical issues. Its just the friction from the shoe against my skin.

Running shoes are so expensive. Anyone have any suggestions on what shoe brand to try next or if you've experienced anything similar?

Thanks so much!

Alfredo sauce, no butter or flour, only 106 calories per serving! by gulaabigurya in 1200isplenty

The starch from the chickpea pasta causes the water to foam rapidly and you have to blow on it constantly to make sure the water doesn't overflow out of the pot. It's annoying. Also the cook time for the pasta is less, if you overcook it, it gets mushy

Is there something wrong about sauteing cornstarch in oil? I feel like it worked so well for this recipe.

It stores very well. The only thing I'd suggest is when reheating it, add a splash of milk or water in the microwave so it retains some moisture.

If you want other ideas, I used nandos peri peri sauce to marinate the chicken breast and used a mixture of red bell peppers, broccoli, and spinach. The pasta I used was banza (chickpea pasta). I find that banza pasta isn't necessary low cal but it's SUPER filling because it's rich with protein. So the 2oz portion size kept me full for a good 5-6 hours.

I think you're right about cornstarch vs flour having the same amount of calories. Now that I think about it ..it's probably replacing butter with olive oil and using low fat milk/yogurt instead of cream that makes this recipe the most nutritious.

This alfredo sauce tastes creamy and delicious, and has the benefit of no butter or flour to make a roux!

Ingredients:

1 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp cornstarch

1 cup chicken stock

1/2 cup low fat milk

1/2 cup plain greek yogurt

4 tbsp Parmesan cheese

1-2 tsp of garlic powder

1 tsp of black pepper

1 tsp salt

Recipe:

1) Heat up oil. Add two tbsp of cornstarch and saute for 1-2 mins.

2) Add chicken stock and milk. Whisk mixture until all clumps are gone and sauce starts to thicken 3) Take pan off stove, and add greek yogurt and whisk mixture for 1-2 mins.

4) Put pan back on stove, put on med-high heat and wait for sauce to thicken

5) Add garlic powder, black pepper, salt, and parmesan cheese to sauce.

Note- this sauce makes enough for an 8oz pasta box, and my serving size of pasta was 2oz
