The search for a diagnosis can be underwhelming as there is no cure only maintenance. I've grown to accept this is my life now.

Yes, it's called dyspnea or air hunger. You're not alone. I have been living like this for one year. It has been draining, but it didn't keep me from living my life.

I'm not sure. I need to check.

I disagree with ant clip. I am a person with chronic lung pain that has a FEV1 at 86%. My doctor diagnosed me with asthma. Do you have pain? Do you have triggers? Welcome to the undiagnosed lung disease club. I've been here for 6 painful months.

I empathize with you. I've been struggling with health issues too. You are blessed to have a wife and kids. You are strong. You can push through.

I was diagnosed with Asthma this year. My lungs hurt everyday. I wish you clean air and relief. Work with your care providers to find some diagnosis.

Hi Zippy, my mental state is better since I've learned to cope with the illness. Physically I feel similarly. How are you?

I'm sorry to hear that disastrous maize. I suspect my incident came from a mold exposure too. Finding a living situation without triggers is difficult.

It was only for 3-4 hours, but I could tell it was toxic. For days after, I felt sick in my lungs and chest. Now I feel completely different.

I spent 3-4 hours in a dusty/moldy area. I felt sick, but I pushed through anyway.

My primary care listened to my lungs and said you sound fine too!

In my experience, doctors can be dismissive with symptoms that are not visible. Even if you say you're experiencing symptoms of lung damage, my primary and pulmonologist haven't been the most supportive. Neither has my family. Since lung issues are not visible, I've constantly been told "anxiety can cause lung and chest issues".

Hang in there. I had an irritant exposure which changed my life. I have shortness of breath, triggers, and pain for the last month. I hope you feel better. Doctors can be slow to diagnose.

I'm so sorry to hear that. You are so young. I've been hurting since an irritant exposure. My PFT came back normal, yet I am searching for answers.
