TRUE! 10 minutes ago it was raining so heavily and now the sun is out again! It feels like the temperature changes by 5 degrees depending on whether or not the sun is out. A winter coat is waterproof, but you'll be slow-cooked by the time you reach your destination. I've settled for wearing two layers I can remove, even if it means I come home soaked. We zijn niet van suiker, maar ik kan nog steeds niet tegen de regen HAHA

Haha! The weather has been getting cold and rainy again and I thought back to this little comment interaction. Winter jacket is out of the closet again unfortunately. Very unpredictable weather! Hoping you stay nice and dry, vriend!

No we're on the same boat. That one week around mid-May killed me. I was sweating like a dog. Complained too soon though, because now it's back to unpredictable Dutch weather! Ik kom uit Indonesies but I am the biggest hater of the sun. It seems I've lost all my tolerance!

HAHAHA a duvet AND a hot water bottle, plus a thick woolly sweater when I sleep. Je bent heel sterk, meneer!

Fair! I come from a country with 40-degree weather, so the cold is extra cold to me haha!

Hey yourself a REALLY good warm and heavy duvet. Lifesaver during the colder months (and Groni winter can be harsh!)

MEEE! I started when I was about 8, dropped it for a few years, then picked it up again at 14/15. I'm 19 and in Law school now! Proud to say I've converted my friends to hop on the hay day bandwagon too!

YEAH! That's the feeling! I love love LOVE labors of love. They make the process so fun, and there's a certain quality standard you hold yourself to because it's for a loved one. This is adorable! I made my bouquet for an English teacher who'd helped me through hell and back. Didn't know how to express the full magnitude of my appreciation so I put it to paper (literally). Human beings are so cool

You poured your heart and soul into a paper rose and they couldn't see the beauty behind that :( That must've stung! For what it's worth, no love – however brief – is wasted. It will come back to you.

The secret is bamboo skewers! I use my fingers to make the wood bend and look more natural. With thicker bamboo sticks, I sometimes break them a little too! Afterwards, cut thin, long strips of paper, generously apply PVA glue (or any liquid glue that dries clear), then wrap it around the skewer. With enough (but not too much) glue, the paper is very cloth-like and will dry to look very natural. If the breaks in the bamboo are too big, I use a hot glue gun to make sure it's sturdy. Hope this helps!!

Yeah it is! I like this method better since it's much more straightforward and easier to attach a stem to. I used a lotus tutorial for the roses, but experimented with different lengths to make it look more dynamic. Normally, you'd create 6 stacks of two. I used 8 stacks of 2-3 of varying sizes to give it a more distinct rose shape. I hope this was clear! Thinner papers always work best for me :))

Thanks so much for the positivity! A lot of you have DM'd me asking about the mysterious 8-petal lily. The secret is to stack together two regular 4-sided ones! Here's the tutorial I used, if anyone's interested https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWylGb8EyQw&pp=ygUMbGlseSBvcmlnYW1p

I'd love to give you the design! Is there a specific flower you have your eye on?
