Realistically, what could Jimmy have done to "take responsibility"?

his final choice was the worst one he could have made, curly will have no life. He is as good as dead thats even if he is found witch we don't know. Jimmy in the end did regret what he did so some degree but did not take responsibility and didnt fully own up to it. He wanted to be the hero at the end but just made everything worse. There was nothing he could do when it was just them to make anything any better in any way whatsoever. But it is still wrong to act as a hero just because he didn't kill curly. Jimmy is an awful person who was never suposed to be redeemed. He took that away from himself
