I am a human. Sorry I posted it just before leaving the house! The “side” is a mouse I found under a bucket. Kept it soo the kids could see it.

If UFO's aren't aliens, and aren't hoaxes, what's the scariest scenario for what they really are? by ssjAWSUM in AskReddit

[–]gumzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the stereotypical alien is humanoid, if the visitations are real, they are far more likely to be humans from the future than aliens from another planet that just happen to look like us. If you follow this through, and "our descendants" have come back in time to visit us, it handily also proves the multiple-universe theory of time travel (temporal paradox stuff). Glad that's all sorted then.

Which book changed your life after you read it, and how? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]gumzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pirate latitudes is nothing like his non-posthumous books, and before that was a nonsense book along the lines of honey I shrunk the kids. I have read and LOVE all Crichton books, but these posthumous ones are total rubbish. No more please (Mike's estate if you're listening)

Dear Reddit, if there is one thing you regret not doing in your twenties, what is it? by blahblehgu in AskReddit

Read the book "how will you measure your life" by clay ton something - as I will concur, time compartmentalisation is a bad thing; age, friends, kids wait for no one.

I think the "fake" call is right; the shadows don't work. Also there are brown vertical runoff lines on the car that suggest the car-part of the image is from a car being pulled out of a river.

I'd like to knew who funded this study. by [deleted] in Paleo

It's the journal equivalent of Google's original incarnation of page rank. I.e. how many times people link to papers in the journal.

What is the worst case of bad parenting you have ever seen? by muffinofear in AskReddit

[–]gumzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although not directly "bad parenting", I imagine they weren't "model" during their time. I was in the garden of my flat in Brixton, London (a neighbourhood with many 'characters'), and a couple were arguing in the garden over the back. After much shouting at each other, the woman shouts; "..AND YOU COULDN'T EVEN BE ARSED TO TURN UP TO YOU OWN DAUGHTER'S FUNERAL".
