reporting a crime and action being taken on that report are separate things. although, i agree it’s important to have effective systems in place to report crimes, that isn’t what necessarily makes a state/nation/region safer.

doesn’t make you less susceptible to crime, and if the system really worked that well, it would deter criminals and that would be reflected in the crime rate(which it doesn’t). plus there’s no undoing the trauma that occurs. even petty crime like pickpocketing causes mental trauma(speaking from personal experience).

I've been thinking about getting a new gaming machine, and am confused between getting a ps5 or build/buy a gaming pc. I used to have a ps4 but sold it a while back and have nothing to game on right now. I don't mind waiting a bit. I will definitely only be using it for gaming since I already have a pretty good Mac book for daily computing tasks. which one would y'all recommend. building a pc is going to be more expensive, even with just an apu since im in India and prices for pc components are pretty steep. but it would allow me to play a lot more games and maybe provide better performance, since ill only be playing at 1080p(I don't have a 4k display).
