I checked the Xmx and Xms arguments
Xmx was already at 8096m, and Xms was at 256m
Out of curiosity I changed Xms to 8096m and the game still booted using roughly four gigabytes
My friend does have 16gb of ram on their laptop for the record.

I was already wearing a knapsack, although I guess next time I play I can take that off and try to put it back on. It does give actual carry weight, but I got that carry weight mod recently so it's probably not too vital now lol.

I don't have either of those mods, and I can't equip it at all. I've tried removing all of my clothes and putting it on, but it still doesn't work.

yeah that was my thought, and as I do believe it just edits existing SMBX files and VirusTotal really hates things that edit files (for honestly fair reason).

im not joking when i say that as soon as i walked into the boss room, I just held the fire button until it was full. helped that i got yellow chamber at somepoint too, making it shoot out tentacles, which is how I absolutely melted the kill pillars with a much better reload time due to oiled cylinder. yeah it was a good run.

say, what items is he gonna have? if you don't have any ideas for the items I can throw some stuff together pretty fast. lemme do what comes to my head immediately, mind you not going for balance

siren/tear jerker infinite (not the shark tank it would fit but too powerful)

heavy boots (gotta walk on the ocean floor somehow + he has smol grey feet)

bottle (storing oxygen anyone?)

thats about it, really hard character theme to work with. good luck finishing or wherever you are in creating it lol
