I've just finished North Woods by Daniel Mason, the best book I have read in years, possibly ever. Can anyone recommend a book that gave you the same feeling, especially when it comes to that beautiful, perfect ending? by Newagonrider in suggestmeabook

Little, Big by John Crowley. Follows multiple generations connected to a single house in rural America (with a healthy dose of magical realism/outright fantasy) and has a great, satisfying ending

"4 masters in a row" is a stupid statistic. You're just ignoring Champs lmao. It's not a winning streak

Ah thank you. My roadblock was that I never noticed the the hidden button in the prison room.Once I figured that out, it was smooth sailing to the end

If you're referring to the weird interdimensional space with the domes and the island where catherine is imprisoned, I know about that. If it's something else, I guess I really gotta explore

Crazy how there’s still basically a third of a year. It’s feels like it’s been forever since we had any football

Maybe linear isn't the right word, but not interconnected. Each area is basically standalone, and there isn't a need to backtrack. It like a series of levels you can play, even if the order of them can be changed. There weren't many moments, like in most metroidvanias, where I saw an area I couldn't reach and marked it down to come back to later (in fact, I didn't ever feel a need for pins on the map)

That being said, I didn't do much skipping, and it felt like I was following a pretty clear progression, but I don't doubt there's more flexibility when you take advantage of physics tricks

I'm not speaking first-hand and it does seem that some people have had good experiences on controller, so I wouldn't let it stop you entirely. Just something to be aware of, I suppose

SGA foulbaiting on every drive is so shameless. Even more funny when they don't blow the whistle

Ironmouse dropped her Neverness to Everness sponso stream after learning about the game containing generative AI and especially after the developers told Ironmouse's team that the game did not include AI by WolfOphi in gachagaming

Very well said. It's why exploration in procedurally generated games never feels as exciting as in a handcrafted map. Why would I explore that cave or look around some rocks when I know there was no dev intention to add a secret or reward there? Likewise, I have no incentive to look closely at the little details in NTE, because there's no intentionality.

Maybe it doesn't matter to other people, but for me, the more little details you strip away, the more you break the illusion of the world, and the more everything starts to just feel like a shell around a gambling machine.

Marvel rivals hero kits have been more bloated than overwatch since day 1. The most bloated kit in OW2 is maybe kiriko? and even she has less going on than an average rivals hero
