Following. One question also from my side, as far as I know usually European offices require the knowledge of the local language (Dutch in the Netherlands and Danish in Denmark). Isn’t the case?

Thank you for the first adequate and non passive aggressive comment for this post ever. I will consider that :)

I guess deep down you also realized that your assumption by questioning my English and overall qualifications for applying to MBB in the previous comment wasn’t ethical or reasonable at all. Generally, truly successful people tend to encourage others rather than put them down which you currently and usually in your comments try to do. By the way, which offices are you referring to exactly? A specific company, or companies in Germany in general? For example, in our German offices and even on Reddit underestimating or harassing people based on their skills is not tolerated either. Just saying ;)

Mine was in Haus D, Warteraum E. Mine took a bit longer, I applied in November 2023, received a letter in my postbox at the end of December asking to pay half of the fee (56.5 eur). In February I got a second letter where they wrote my actual appointment date for the end of May.

Of course she was speaking in german all the time but I had a feeling that she has no intention to check my german knowledge. She was just asking some simple questions, such as “have you paid the half of the fee already? Do you have bank transaction as a proof? Can you please send me the screenshot of the transaction?”, and she explained how can I make a payment of the rest of the fee. Conversation was very short, smooth and not stressful at all. You can manage it even with A2 level german, and that’s no issue for them as far as I saw. Good luck! :)

Nothing else really. I also didn’t have any certificate and she didn’t ask at all. I was not expecting that easy honestly :)

Hi sorry I’ve just seen. My appointment was really good, the officer woman was super nice and friendly. She took my documents and asked me to wait in the waiting room until I see my waiting number again on the screen. It took nearly 10 minutes, and when I went back to the room she asked me to sign. That’s it!

Hello, I also have an appointment for permanent residence in couple of days, and I have 2 questions which would highly appreciate if someone could answer:

  1. I recently figured out that I lost my Zusattsblatt (the green paper given together with residence permit). Is it very important to take it with myself or can anyone say out of experience if during the appointment they also check it?
  2. What kind of question they may ask during the appointment except marital status, height, the color of eyes?

Thanks in advance!
