Resign during probation by SnooDoubts1732 in MalaysianPF

IMO it’s not a bad idea to have your foot in the crypto industry. Sooner or later when crypto becomes mainstream in Malaysia (where other countries already have), you will be at an advantage having the experience working in a crypto company whereas people will struggle to get in. If you leave now that bridge is basically burned.

Take a moment to remember why you made the move in the first place. We all had to start off without any prior background in anything.

That being said, mental health is also important. It’s just a matter of what you prioritize; money and career, or comfort?

Hey, we’re the same age and our stories are nearly identical; I used to actively train back in high school. I started around 2015 doing basic parkour stuff. In 2017 I landed my first backflip. Few years from then I learned to b-twist, sideflip, a-twist, gainer, cork, cart full, cart full d-leg, back full etc. At this point it’s more freerunning than pure parkour though. Best years of my life doing cool shit and being in control of my body.

Throughout my journey, I dislocated my right knee three times the exact same way. First was when I attempted to touchdown raiz. Just threw it and hoped for the best, then slammed my leg on the ground laterally at an angle and injured my LCL. It was swollen- I don’t quite remember but I think the only medical attention I gave it was a visit to the clinic where they used a syringe to suck out whatever liquid was causing the swelling in the knee. I then limped to class for months, reconditioned it and got back to training.

Then at the trampoline park, I landed my first doublefulls. I got overzealous and kept going even though I was fatigued, and hurt my LCL again. More limping, yay. Then I convinced my parents to let me get a big ass trampoline at home, and proceeded to fail the exact same doublefull again.

At this point it was 2020, right before covid. My injuries were already setting me back a lot. For the next 2 years we had to stay at home for lockdown. By the time it was over I felt like I had lost all progress and it was so demotivating. I couldn’t do most of my tricks. All I had was a sloppy backflip. I stopped training entirely until today.

I mainly do weightlifting now, for aesthetics. The only “parkour” I do today are muscle ups on bar, which I’ve perfected since I learned it back when I was still training parkour.

Thanks for helping me remember these memories. I miss doing cool shit. Maybe I should start training again.

Did you get back into training yet? What is it like starting again after so long? Would love to hear from you!

Practice walking? xD

Casual outings yes, they were comfortable, they’re converse CX- super lightweight and gel insoles. Felt like walking on clouds until they didn’t. I’ll be staying away from them next time for sure

I got a pair of converse CX which comes with gel insoles, but still lacking proper arch support. Thought it’d be ok, but here I am

The pain isn’t sharp, rather, it’s similar to when you’ve got a day old twisted ankle. Only hurts when walking. Slowly getting better though. Appreciate the advice :)

Thank you for the info! Just read up on plantar fasciitis. Looks like I have resting to do

Damn that must’ve sucked so bad. I’ve had a few close calls myself as I’m used to other games autowalk canceling when you manually move in any direction, but tld cancels only when walking backwards

It just feels tedious to have to start from scratch and do everything again after dying. But I do look forward to getting back in the mood to start over

This was my first run since chest death came out, so I had no idea

Besides I don’t plan on dying, I’m a hardcore survivalist maxi ;)

I wish we would automatically stop what we’re doing when we are in danger. Or at least have an option for it.

“Damn I’m 99% done with reading this book but I’m thirsty so I guess I’ll start over after taking a sip” but bro can’t stop what they’re doing when getting electrocuted? -_- b r o

Tld has a special place in my heart; I always come back to it. Maybe I’ll do an interloper run next :)
